Bouchaine
1075 Buchli Station Rd, Napa, CA 94559, USABouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros, a region located on the southern tip of Napa Valley. In the late 1880s, a Missouri-born settler named Boon Fly planted grapes and fruit trees on the property. An Italian winemaker named Johnny Garetto bought the land in 1927 and farmed it until 1961, when he sold to Beringer. After 20 years as a storage facility, the dilapidated winery buildings were purchased by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, along with 30 acres of the surrounding land. The Copelands set to work revitalizing the property with new vineyards, winery improvements, and a renewed sense of purpose. Redwood from early storage tanks was recycled and repurposed into the new facade for the winery and tasting room buildings. John Garetto’s original sign from the 1930’s was found patching a hole in the roof. It now holds a place of honor in Bouchaine’s Conference Room. Throughout the years, the Copelands continued to update the property, expanding the vineyards to 100 acres, and invested their time and passion into building a sustainable, family-owned estate. Under the Copelands’ leadership, Bouchaine has grown from a pair of ramshackle buildings into a thriving vineyard estate. With imagination and passion, Gerret and Tatiana have fashioned wines and a wine country experience for visitors that is a distillation of their remarkable lives, at home in Delaware and in Napa Valley. The shallow clay loam soils of Bouchaine are perfectly suited for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These soils force the vines to dig deep for water, promoting depth and concentration as the roots struggle to penetrate the ribbons of obsidian, quartz, clay and volcanic deposits. Of Bouchaine’s 87 planted acres, 31 are dedicated to Chardonnay, 46 to Pinot Noir, with the remaining 10 devoted to Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Syrah. Vineyard blocks are planted with different sun exposures and pruning techniques based on topography, to optimize air circulation and ripening. Bouchaine's high-touch, precision viticulture is managed by an all-female vineyard crew that performs every aspect of the growing process entirely by hand. That includes pruning, positioning shoots, thinning clusters and applying compost, which provides a natural source of rich nutrients for the soil. There is always something fun going on at Bouchaine. Our passion for discovery doesn’t end with wine. From falconry demonstrations to cooking classes, and even wine and music pairings with The Philadelphia Orchestra, we offer an experience for everyone.

Domaine Carneros
1240 Duhig Rd, Napa, CA 94559, USADomaine Carneros is a singular winery best known as a small grower-producer of sparkling wine, Pinot Noir, estate vineyards, and a breathtakingly beautiful château. Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger's search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s. In 1987 he selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley, and chose Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the Taittinger style in Carneros. In 2020, after 33 years, Crane passed the torch to a new CEO, Remi Cohen, whose role carries on the Taittinger tradition of visionary female leadership. Ushering in a new era of Domaine Carneros, Cohen brings two decades of experience in all facets of the wine industry to the château. The heart of Domaine Carneros has always been the méthode traditionelle sparkling wines, with distinctive styles ranging from the classic vintage-dated Brut cuvee to the luxury Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs. In 1992 they added rich, complex Pinot Noir to their portfolio and their passion for sparkling and still wines continues to grow. All of their wines proudly hail from the Carneros appellation, and 100% of their fruit comes from our six estate vineyards comprising 400 acres. As anyone who has driven between Napa and Sonoma can tell you, the Domaine Carneros château is a stunning regional landmark. Join them for tableside service on the terrace or in the salon and savor the spirit of the Northern California wine country. The Domaine Carneros château is a California wine country landmark. Inspired by the classic 18th century Château de la Marquetterie in Champagne, France - home of Champagne Taittinger - the Domaine Carneros château was completed in 1989. Situated atop a knoll surrounded by estate, the château brings to Carneros the elegant style of the French wine country. With its grand staircase, formal gardens, expansive outdoor terraces, marble-floored fireside salon and breathtaking views of vine-covered hills, it is an incomparably royal setting for savoring fine sparkling and still wines, and for events. From using owl boxes for natural pest management to taking grape pomace from every harvest and feeding it to local cattle, Domaine Carneros has farmed sustainably since the late 1980s. In 2013, they became certified sustainable. Each year, they go through an assessment and audit for ensuring that our sustainable efforts are always-improving and benefit the environment, their employees, the community, and the grapes and wine.

Etude
1250 Cuttings Wharf Rd, Napa, CA 94559, USAEtude was founded on the philosophy that winemaking begins in the vineyard long before the harvest and that superior grape growing diminishes the need for intervention by the winemaker, resulting in wine that is grown, not made. This remains their approach today as they continue to build the Etude legacy. Etude was established 1982, when founding winemaker Tony Soter set his sights on the cool-climate Carneros region in the pursuit of producing world-class Pinot Noir. As a winemaker, Tony always had a fascination with Pinot Noir. He was quoted as saying "Pinot Noir is the most appropriate vehicle with which to study wine growing, precisely because of its demanding nature but also because of its delicacy and transparency. Make no mistake it is a humbling pursuit, but when it’s right, Pinot Noir is a glorious and moving thing. It is in the pursuit of that experience that we all work.” In 2000, Grace Benoist Ranch was developed – the culmination of an eighteen-year journey in finding the most suitable terroir for their Estate vineyards. On the ranch are seven Chardonnay clones, nine Heirloom Pinot Noir clones, and eight additional Pinot clones, all divided into 24 individual vineyard blocks, each with its own soil type, rootstock, grape variety and clonal type. These individual vineyard blocks average only 8 acres in size. The spacing is dense to ensure low per vine yields of fully concentrated fruit. Pinot Noir offers intricate flavor profiles, many of which are unique to its growing region. Beyond Carneros, Etude sources fruit from the Central Coast region of California, Oregon, and even New Zealand. This diversity offers their guests the opportunity to see the world though the lens of Pinot Noir. The flavors, aromas, and textures are a direct impact of the teroirs on which the grapes are grown. At Etude, they believe wines are expressive of the place in which they are grown. With this belief comes a commitment to a holistic wine-growing approach -- nurturing the soil, respecting the native ecosystems, and always working to reduce the environmental impact. They are mindful of their role as stewards of the land and adhere strictly to sustainable agriculture practices that enable them to farm in concert with the surrounding environment.

Artesa
1345 Henry Rd, Napa, CA 94559, USAOver 25 years ago, Spain’s oldest winemaking family, Raventós Codorníu, ventured to a new world: a sea-facing hillside in the Napa Valley, with rocky soils and a favorable coastal climate. It was here in Los Carneros that the family planted new roots, and built upon a 460-year winemaking legacy to create the next generation of estate-grown, artisan wines. We opened in 1991 as Codorníu Napa with a mission to make California’s top sparkling wine. As the vineyard proved its pedigree for still wines, the Artesa name was born in 1998. Artesa has since become a leading producer of distinctive wines from the varietals for which Los Carneros and Napa Valley are best known: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Raventós Codorníu is the oldest family winery in Spain, with roots dating back to 1551. Seventeen generations of the founding family have built a legacy of innovation, from the world-famous inventors of Cava, Codorníu; to the oldest winery in Rioja, Bodega Bilbainas; to the single largest estate vineyard in Europe, Raimat; to the jewels of Legaris in Ribera del Duero and Priorat’s Scala Dei; to the high elevation vineyards of Septima in Mendoza, Argentina; and of course here at Artesa. Winemakers from each estate collaborate and bring a legacy of expertise together. The Artesa Estate Vineyard is set in the steep foothills that straddle the Los Carneros and Mount Veeder AVAs at the southern tip of the Napa Valley. Its proximity to the San Pablo Bay, three miles south, provides the cool, maritime climate ideal for pinot noir and chardonnay. The 150-acre vineyard is planted along five distinct ridges, with a variety of slopes and soils. To farm such a complex site, the vineyard is divided in over fifty distinct blocks, tailoring our efforts to the unique character of each block. Most of the vineyard is dedicated to pinot noir – 80 acres are planted in 28 blocks with ten distinct clones. The steep, south-facing slopes of the ranch are dominated by shallow, alluvial soils of weathered sandstone and shale, with long exposure to sunshine and maritime air. These are ideal conditions for growing pinot noir that is clean, balanced, concentrated and distinctively aromatic. Nearly fifty acres are planted to chardonnay in 13 blocks, primarily on northeast-facing slopes that offer some protection from wind and late-afternoon sun and are dominated by Haire Clay Loam soils. Chardonnay from these sites express ripe citrus character and distinctive minerality. Twenty acres are dedicated to twelve micro-blocks specially suited to boutique Estate bottlings. Albariño is planted on two of the coolest sites; low-lying, gentle slopes in the shadow of Milliken Peak. Six blocks of Tempranillo are planted on gravelly soils in the warmest sites, and the very highest ridge of the property, above the 400 foot elevation boundary that separates Mount Veeder from Carneros, are four blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Artesa Estate Vineyard is farmed sustainable in accordance with our certifications for Napa Green Land and Fish Friendly Farming.

Charsaw Farms
1210 Cuttings Wharf Rd, Napa, CA 94559, USACharsaw Farms is a family owned lavender farm launched in 2021 in Napa, California. They make handmade oils, tinctures, soaps and baking goods from the lavender they grow and harvest by hand. In 2006, Doug and Julie Thompson took a chance on a 3.5 acre piece of property in Napa, California with the dream of making it a home and gathering place for friends and family. After years of hard work, renovations, building additions, land development and countless games of bocce ball and pickleball, they succeeded in making this plot of land a truly wonderful place to live. They raised their 4 children, hosted several weddings, and housed friends and family on Napa get-a-ways in wine country. Nine grandchildren later and much debate over what the next chapter of life looked like, Julie and Doug decided to turn their family home into a lavender farm to share the beauty of the property with everyone. Along with two of their daughters, Elizabeth and Mollie, the Thompsons launched Charsaw Farms, named after Liz’s daughter Charley “Char” and Mollie’s daughter Sawyer “Saw”. They celebrate family, healthy living and the natural beauty of Northern California. Elizabeth brings a culinary aspect to the company, as she enjoys experimenting with lavender and baked goods. As most of her desserts surpass mom and her two sisters’ abilities, it was a no brainer to have Liz’s culinary skills utilized. Mollie adds an agriculture background after studying Agricultural Business at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. Her knowledge of the wine industry, and tourism in the area, have assisted the family in sales strategies. Staying at the Charsaw Cottage gives their guests a remarkable and spacious place to host an intimate wedding. Looking West you’ll have thousands of lavender plants backed by a setting sun. To the North, South and East, your guests will enjoy the views of the famous Carneros Wine Growing Region. The perfect backdrop for your perfect day. Charsaw Farms offers a desired wedding ceremony location overlooking the vineyards, a large grass space which allows for one long table or multiple round/square tables, a deck which provides a dance floor and ample space for a DJ or band, two gas fire pits and a gazebo typically used as a bar. Their experience with weddings in the past has been nothing short of amazing.

The Pelican Inn

An inn evoking the essence of 16th century England's west country welcomes you on your romantic retreat over the hills to the seaside. The welcoming Pelican Inn is located at Muir Beach, about 20 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, in the sea-blown fog, among the pines and alders, honeysuckle and jasmine... Between the coast, Muir Woods, and the Northern California National Recreational Area parks, there's a lodging retreat. The Pelican welcomes you to enjoy the company of its Tudor bar, country cooking, overnight accomodation, or a carefree feasting and relaxation vacation. The name Pelican comes from Sir Francis Drake's 70-foot eighteen-gun sailor, afterwards renamed the Golden Hinde, which set sail from Plymouth, England, in November 1577 with the help and encouragement of Queen Elizabeth I to fight the Spanish power under Phillip II. Surely, Drake's epic trip, which made him the first captain to survive a round of the globe, has less to do with the appeal of the "Pelican" as a symbol of haven for wayfarers than England's ancient tradition of coastal inns. The Pelican is more than just a taste of olde England; it's also a fantastic location for weddings, meetings, banquets, Sunday brunch, or simply a place to unwind and chew the fat. Upon request, feasts lasting the entire day or evening are available for your special occasion. The rough-hewn beams glowed with firelight. The sound of a dinner bell heralds the start of a night of feasting and revelry. In the Pelican Inn, remove after remove—ale, music, and good cheer—create a feeling of being transported to another time and place.

Petroni Vineyards

Petroni Vineyards' creator, Lorenzo Petroni, had managed to persuade the Italian Brunello Consorzio, a group dedicated to preserving the wine's geographical purity, to let him use the name on his Moon Mountain Sangiovese. That narrative, on the other hand, is best conveyed in person. Lorenzo's ambition was to create a California Sangiovese that could compete with the renowned and desired Brunello di Montalcino from Italy's Tuscan region. He left home at the age of 17 with only a handful of dollars in his pocket and a woman's pant suit from his mother, who explained that "after he found a job, he could hire a tailor and look the correct part." He worked hard and saved his money, eventually founding The North Beach Restaurant with a buddy, Bruno Orsi, who would be the restaurant's chef. Lorenzo, an incredibly charismatic and welcoming Italian, quickly earned the title "Mayor of North Beach" and is well known for hosting San Francisco's elite for lunch, heated political debates, and late-night Grappa tastings in the restaurant's basement, which also has the grandfathered-in ability to cure its own prosciutto. He was the first restaurant in the area to set up tables outside, much like he did in his native country.
