This location, which is not far from Sugarloaf Mountain, serves as a retreat as well as a magical backdrop for couples who want to exchange vows before the mountain. It is a unique and memorable location for wedding celebrations. Comus Farm has a long and illustrious history, which adds to the allure of the location. The farm, originally used as a dairy farm, was in the same family for generations until 2019. The farmhouse was built in the late 1800's, rebuilt in 1921. Anderson House, a 1905 Beaux Arts mansion built as the winter residence of Larz Anderson, an American ambassador, and his wife, Isabel, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history and magnificence of Gilded Age Washington. The mansion, which was designed by the Boston architectural firm Arthur Little Herbert Browne, was recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 1996. The Andersons' Washington residence was designed largely for entertaining guests. From 1905 until 1937, they held a variety of events including diplomatic and inaugural receptions, formal dinners and luncheons, and musical performances. Anderson House has been host to some of the world's most important leaders and intellectuals, including William H. Taft, Calvin Coolidge, and Winston Churchill, as well as other notable figures from the United States and beyond. A collection of Asian ivories and lacquerware, as well as screens and sculptures, have been collected by Larz and Isabel during their many travels around the world. English paintings hang on the walls, as do French and Flemish tapestries. The transfer of Anderson House and much of its original furnishings to The Society of the Cincinnati, a patriotic organization of which Larz Anderson had been a committed member, was orchestrated by Isabel Anderson after Larz’s death in 1937. The Society for the Preservation of the American Revolution was founded in 1783 by George Washington and other leaders of the Continental Army and is today a non-profit historical organization dedicated to preserving the memory of the American Revolution. There are free guided tours, a changing exhibition gallery, a research library, and a variety of public programs available at Anderson House.

The Ballroom seats up to 150, the Sunset Room handles ceremonies of up to 110 or dining for 60, and the combined Ballroom, President's Room, and Sunset Room configuration serves receptions of up to 250. Glenview Mansion is a 1926 Neo-Classical Revival estate listed on the National Register of Historic Places, set within Rockville's 153-acre Civic Center Park. Built to entertain, the mansion retains its original character — exotic marble floors, formal boxwood gardens, ornamental fountains, and stone archways — while serving today as a full-service event venue operated by the City of Rockville, Maryland. The mansion's first floor opens into a suite of interconnected social rooms, each with its own character: the marble-floored Conservatory with dazzling lighting, the window-lined Dining Room and Library, and the Living Room with direct access to the Formal Gardens. Every rental includes use of the entire home, the front mall, and the surrounding grounds, which can accommodate up to 200 guests for ceremonies, receptions, and tented events. A separate Civic Center Cottage on the property is available for small gatherings of up to 25 guests or as a dedicated dressing suite. Hosting an event here at The Stables of Rolling Ridge is a fantastic way to get to know the farm and its surroundings! Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, birthday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings can all be held in the luxury of the countryside at one of the outdoor event sites! Reservations for the farm are accepted from April through November on Sundays through Fridays. The tented reception venue is available for events with a maximum of 60 participants. The price of the reservation includes a tented event venue as well as furnishings for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Beautiful handcrafted wooden ceremonial benches and farm tables are among the furniture options. Prepare for a smaller celebration such as an intimate wedding, elopement, baby shower or birthday with a smaller guest list. Up to 25 guests can be accommodated in the floral shop above the barn, or a workshop-style celebration with Rolling Ridge Floral Design is an option. Workshops and floral shop reservations are available all year round, as are seasonal workshops. Any farm event would benefit from having a favor table in the form of a workshop! Rolling Ridge Farm and Homestead is a family-run farm and homestead. The site is closed to the general public and only available for activities that have been scheduled in advance. Private tours can be planned on a Sunday through Friday basis, depending on the farm's scheduling.
