The Flood Mansion, located in San Francisco's Pacific Heights area and home to the Schools of the Sacred Heart, turns from a school to a private event venue with over 6,000 square feet of space available for rental throughout the day. The Flood Mansion is a symphony of classical styles, including elements from the Italian Renaissance, Rococo, Tudor, and Georgian periods. Since Mrs. Flood bequeathed her home to the Religious of the Sacred Heart in 1939, this exquisite building, built in 1915, has been well conserved. Despite the fact that the facility is now a private school, it is nevertheless open for special events after school hours and on weekends. Our stunning Grand Hall and other rooms can accommodate up to 165 people for seated parties and up to 299 people for reception-style events. San Mateo County Event Center is a 48-acre public assembly facility in San Mateo, California, situated between the 92 and 101 freeways and within 30 minutes of three major Bay Area airports — SFO, SJC, and OAK. Founded in 1926 as a small flower show, the center has grown into one of the Bay Area's leading destinations for consumer and trade events, corporate gatherings, festivals, concerts, and sporting events. The campus features seven buildings encompassing over 195,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space, plus 10 acres of landscaped outdoor grounds. Event spaces range from the 104,900-square-foot Expo Hall, accommodating up to 10,000 standing guests, down to the carpeted Event Pavilion, which seats 250 for banquets. The campus — formerly the Fort Point Life Saving Station — dates to 1890 and includes the Officer in Charge Quarters, the Lifeboat Station (1915), and the Pier & Tide Gauge Station (1935). Today it is managed by the Greater Farallones Association under a long-term agreement with the National Park Service within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
