Our shows are held in our Listening Room, an intimate setting where the musicians are our focus. The restaurant serves classic seafood cuisine with a modern touch, under the guidance of Chef and Owner Jason Yeafoli. Moonraker is also recognized for its Pacifica-inspired cocktails and local California wines and brews. Moonraker was inspired by the nautical phrase for a sail of a clipper sailing ship, sometimes known as hope-in-heaven or a moonsail. The glitter of 22-karat gold greets visitors to the China Cabin, once the elegant social saloon of the PS China, giving them a glimpse of the old-world luxury and attention to detail that first-class passengers enjoyed when the ship first sailed from its home port of San Francisco. The Cabin consists of a large room and two small staterooms. Its plain exterior belies the ornate and regal appointments inside. The walls and arched ceiling are panels of elaborately decorated wood that have been painted a crisp white and highlighted with gold leaf. Along the sides of the Cabin are a series of small, delicately etched glass windows; handsome crystal chandeliers hang at each end of the room. The Cabin also has decks on three sides that have wonderful views of the San Francisco skyline and of the colorful boats berthed at the nearby yacht harbor. Lovely Day is an elegant and industrial large-capacity venue in the Longfellow Neighborhood of Oakland (near MacArthur BART). As a former catering company and restaurant, we have our own expertly-staffed industrial kitchens on site, capable of serving up to 10,000 meals per day at full capacity. We hold an ABC Type 47 liquor license, and are pleased to serve a full bar of cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic mocktails. Amplified music is allowed late at our venue. — We wanted a place where you could dance with your best friend to that one song from college. A place where you could light sparklers while shooting off confetti cannons. A charming space to spend time with people, have some great food and tasty cocktails. Fancy six course dinners eaten in pajamas are encouraged here, because we know a fine dining experience doesn't have to be snooty or uncomfortable — it just needs to be good.
