Purchase of a portion of the venue for up to 60 people Partially buying out our main and private dining rooms provides you with a venue that may accommodate up to 60 people for a formal seated dinner event in our restaurant. Centrally located in Midtown, Bishop Station is a secret gem tucked away from the hustle of the city. With unmatchable skyline views of midtown and downtown, this historic building was originally home to Gulf Oil Company in the 1920s and has been lovingly restored to it’s original splendor. The venue is composed of 2 levels of open event space as well a large outdoor courtyard. The main room is 3,600 square feet of chic industrial space with pristine hardwood floors in a chevron pattern. The walls are antique brick with three sides of expansive windows. A tall curved pine ceiling is finished by two ornate iron chandeliers. Take the elevator or the stairs to the lower level where we have an additional 3,600 square feet of event space that includes a furnished lounge area and a beautiful built-in bar. In recent history, the property was home to the Sautee Nacoochee Vineyard, which was one of the first wineries in north Georgia. Tourists came from all over the country to sample the wines and learn more about the 1.5-acre vineyard. They also enjoyed live music in the amphitheater, as well as the breathtaking views and refreshing breezes provided by the mountains. The grape vines are still there, and we are in the process of reopening this once highly sought-after destination. Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The property was bought by Urban Realty Partners and Weaver & Woodbery Company in 2000 with the intention of restoring it and converting it into a mixed-use site. The Foundry, with its 12,000 square feet of floor area, is a wonderfully striking and adaptable event venue. Original wood beams, spacious skylights, and polished concrete floors create a backdrop rich with character and history, highlighting the industrial past and vibrant present of Atlanta's popular Westside neighborhood and its surrounding neighborhoods. Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay. Satterfield cooks in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest of the seasons. The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area.
