The museum sits on 22 acres of woodland on the shores of Upper Porters Pond, and its event spaces look out over the water and an adjacent patio. Three spaces are available for private rental: the Museum Greatroom, the Museum Lounge, and Studio A. The Greatroom — the largest of the three — accommodates up to 135 seated or 175 standing guests beneath high ceilings with exposed wood beams. The Museum Lounge seats up to 35 at tables or about 50 for informal gatherings, with windows that frame views of the pond. Studio A provides a more intimate setting for groups of up to 20 seated. Originally established in 1959 as Spring Valley Country Club on a Geoffrey Cornish-designed golf course, the property joined The Cape Club family in 2016 and was rebranded in January 2017. Don McKeag reopened Crane Brook Restaurant in 2004, aiming to build on the restaurant's prior success and create an exciting future for the stunning structure. Antonio Sousa and Maria Marcalo bought the Crane Brook Restaurant in November of 2018, with the intention of restoring it to its former splendor. They began renovations on the outside and inside, and on a daily basis, local folks would stop and ask when Crane Brook will reopen, as well as share their particular memories of Crane Brook. Camp Kiwanee is a 68-acre campground and event venue owned by the Town of Hanson, Massachusetts, set on the shores of Lake Monponsett. At its heart stands the Needles Lodge, a historic structure built in the early 1900s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2005 — the first property in Hanson to receive that designation. The Lodge accommodates up to 200 guests for seated receptions alongside a dance floor, and its renovated back deck overlooks Maquan Pond, with drop windows that expand seating for ceremonies. A library inside the building serves as an additional ceremony space, and outdoor lakeside and wooded settings are available for ceremonies as well.
