Oakland Zoo is a wildlife conservation destination and event venue situated in the scenic hills of Oakland, California, at the edge of Knowland Park. Founded in 1922 by naturalist Henry A. Snow as The Snow Museum, the institution has grown into a nationally accredited zoological park housing over 850 native and exotic animals across habitats that include an African Savanna, Tropical Rain Forest, and the California Trail. The Conservation Society of California, which operates the zoo, earned recognition as a Best Event Space by Oakland Magazine in 2025. Private events are hosted at the Snow Building, a historic indoor-outdoor venue nestled within the zoo's grounds. The main floor of the Library showcases beautiful murals and huge windows so that the entire room is bathed in natural light. The shelves that line the walls provide copious amounts of room for various items of decor and mood lighting, to make the space your own. The Museum of San Francisco offers approximately 4,000 square feet of event space plus an outdoor balcony with views of the financial district. Located at 608 Commercial Street, this historic venue is just steps away from the Transamerica Pyramid, North Beach, and China Town. The building marks the site of the first U.S. branch mint in the West. Montgomery Street, one-half block away, marks the original waterline of Yerba Buena Cove. Visitors can peer into the underground brick vault where gold was stored. The vault survived the 1906 earthquake and fire. Venue 412 is a 12,422 sq ft, two-level event venue at 412 Broadway in San Francisco's North Beach, on the edge of the Financial District. We host corporate events, wedding receptions, brand activations, fashion shows, product launches, fundraisers and galas, milestone birthdays, music video shoots, and private buyouts for groups up to 400. The rental includes a full A/V package (PA, professional lighting, video to eleven HD displays, wireless mics, Pioneer DJ booth), in-house catering through our commercial kitchen, two private dressing rooms, four unisex rest rooms, and an artist green room.
