Banshee is a restaurant + bar located in East Atlanta Village serving New American fare that's focused on seasonality. It was opened by partners Peter Chvala, Nolan Wynn, Katie McDonald, and Faielle Bolzan Stocco with the intent of providing upscale food and beverage in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Within it's first year of operation Executive Chef Nolan Wynn was awarded "Best New Chef 2018" by Atlanta Magazine and was nominated as a semifinalist for "Rising Star Chef of the Year" by the James Beard Foundation. Banshee also features a cocktail driven bar that has a small curated selection of local beers and an eclectic wine list. The bar is open late and transitions into music after hours on Friday & Saturday.

Sun in my Belly, which occupies the area formerly occupied by Bailey & Sons Hardware, is charming and unique. We have three places available, each of which can be rented separately or as a whole. We've hosted weddings, birthday parties, corporate meetings, and concerts in our space, and we love seeing the personal touches that our guests bring with them for their important occasions. Sun in my Belly is located in Kirkwood, a short walk from the East Lake Marta station, in a former hardware store where chef Alison used to shop when SIMB was in its beginnings. It is divided into three sections: front, center, and salon. All three are for rent, as well as a whole restaurant buyout. Chai Pani is a Hindi phrase that translates as "tea with water." The phrase "a little something" refers to going out for a cup of tea, a nice nibble, a snack, or "a little something." It means inventive, exciting, inexpensive, and delectable Indian cuisine in Downtown Asheville (and now in Downtown Decatur, as well as other locations). Even the term "mindblasting" comes to mind when we think about it. Some of the greatest cuisine in any country can be found on the streets, and Chai Pani is home to chaat, which are crunchy, spicy, sweet, sour, and brilliantly colored Indian street snacks with a variety of flavors. For the simple reason that there is nothing more soothing and delectable in any culture than a home-cooked dinner, Chai Pani also offers thalis, which are traditional Indian family meals that showcase the country's incredible culinary diversity. The New York Times praised our "fresh, cilantro-strewn twists on Indian street cuisine," GQ Magazine praised our "Indian street food with a twang," and New York Magazine hailed us as "a star in downtown's eating scene." In this historically and architecturally significant property, guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind event. Celebrate any event in a beautiful, private environment in the heart of downtown Decatur. The big outside patio is ideal for both the ceremony and reception portions of a wedding. There are additional different dining rooms, banquet rooms, and a front parlor with fireplaces to choose from as well. In the historic Mary Gay House, you may plan the wedding of your dreams while learning about Atlanta's history. In the 1820s, the MARY GAY HOUSE was built in Decatur, Georgia, and it is now a historic landmark. Mary Ann Harris Gay, the home's most renowned resident, is commemorated in the house's name (1828-1918). The Southern novelist is most known for penning Life in Dixie During the War, a first-person account of the American Civil War that was published in 1865. Mary Gay recalls a series of daring activities, including her treks beyond Union lines to acquire food and clothes for women and children in war-torn Decatur, which she describes in her book. Several of the world's greatest authors have been influenced by Mary Gay's writings, including Margaret Mitchell, who used some of her poetry to construct settings in Gone With the Wind and Mark Twain, who used some of her poetry in Tom Sawyer.

The Historic DeKalb Courthouse is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fundraisers, and other special events of all kinds. This beautiful courthouse, located in Decatur, Georgia, just minutes away from Atlanta, serves as a spectacular backdrop for any historic event. With stunning arched windows and marble walls, the main event area is a sight to behold. A total of 150 guests may be accommodated at tables in the venue, which has lots of natural light and hardwood floors. A cocktail hour or a check-in area can be held in the lobby of the hotel. The Historic DeKalb Courthouse, which is located in Decatur, Georgia, only minutes away from Atlanta, is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fund-raisers, and other special events. You will have the perfect setting for your historic event with the marble walls and wonderfully arched windows. During all evening and weekend rentals, guests will have access to the Courtroom, Harrison Room, Lobby, Groom's Room, and Bridal Suite for a total of 8 hours. The first two hours are usually devoted to setup, while the last hour is devoted to cleaning. The remaining 5 hours can be utilized for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception, according on your preferences. The ceremony and reception are both held in the Courtroom, and there is usually a room flip as guests enjoy cocktail hour in the lobby before the wedding. Most of the time, renters employ one of our Preferred Caterers to set up, flip, dismantle, and clean up after the event.
