This old house is situated on a rolling 42-acre property of the estate, which is located outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and it exudes beauty in every nook and cranny of the interior area. The Elkins Estate serves as the best event venue. The structure was constructed in 1898 by William L. Elkins, and the interior was created by the well-known French interior designers Allard et Fils. It features stunning frescoed ceilings, carved panels, marble columns, and spectacular crystal chandeliers. The rooms have been exquisitely ornamented with golden molding and gold leafing throughout. The Brickman Center pairs brick and stone with towering, exposed-beam ceilings across a connected great hall, dining hall, and terrace, while the newer Bryn Athyn College Center offers 30,000 square feet of conference and event space, including a terraced bistro with athletic-field views, for gatherings as large as 250. Pendleton Hall's three-tier auditorium suits presentations for close to 200 guests, and the Mitchell Performing Arts Center seats 443 in a theater with an adjoining lobby for cocktail hours. Tyler Gardens is a four-tier formal garden estate in Newtown, Pennsylvania, just outside Tyler State Park along the Neshaminy Creek. The gardens were built in 1931 by George F. and Stella Elkins Tyler as the formal landscape setting for their estate, Indian Council Rock, and draw their design from French and Italian garden traditions. Terraced lawns, stone walls and staircases, gravel pathways, fountains, and bronze sculptures give the grounds a park-like, treehouse-like setting surrounded by tall trees. The property offers three main spaces for events. Tyler Hall, an elegant mansion setting with exclusive use of the first floor and a wrap-around patio, suits gatherings of up to 75 guests as a ceremony space, cocktail hour location, or rehearsal dinner venue. The Garden Tent hosts 100 to 350 guests between April and November, with private use of the gardens for a five-hour event plus two additional hours for photography. Grey Towers Castle sits at the heart of Arcadia University's 76-acre campus in Glenside, Pennsylvania, just 12 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. Built in 1898 as the family home of sugar baron William Welsh Harrison, the Castle was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer, who drew inspiration from England's Alnwick Castle and later designed the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1985 and has been named among the most beautiful castles in the U.S. by Architectural Digest. Weddings and private events unfold across the first floor of the Castle, where guests enter the three-story Great Hall beneath a gilded, barrel-vaulted ceiling before moving into the Dining, Rose, and Laura Minerva Korman Mirror rooms. The Mirror Room was crafted in France and features a painted ceiling by Francois Lafon depicting the four seasons, while the Rose Room reflects the ornamentation of Louis XV-era architecture.
