At a young age, I was inspired to pursue a career in the culinary arts. When I first arrived in the United States, I enrolled in courses in hotel and restaurant management at New York Technical College. The opportunity to work in France, at the prestigious Hotel de France, presented itself to me in 1998. Later, I made my way into the New York City restaurant industry, where I worked as a pastry chef at the Russian Tea Room. I was awarded two gold medals by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique's Salon of Culinary Art for my work in the kitchen. Having worked at places such as the Glen Oaks Country Club, City Hall, La Grenouille, and Gascogne Bistro, I decided to branch out and open my own restaurant on Staten Island in 2007. Over the course of seven years, the Alor Cafe has evolved into a fine dining and music venue. Today, I am the proud father of three children, and I live in Brooklyn with my wife. As a business owner, I take pleasure in giving back to my community. I also appreciate that Staten Island's accessibility allows for affordable ownership while still remaining connected to the city's energy. I recently ended my relationship with my long-term partner, but I'm ready to move on to the next phase. My current project is the "Better Burger" Project for the Chefs of America Foundation, on which I am currently working as a member. I've taken on this responsibility with the goal of demonstrating to the Staten Island community that eating healthy, sustainable foods is a wise choice and that this is the direction in which the restaurant market is moving.

Frankies 457’s private event space is a converted blacksmith’s stable located in the garden behind their restaurant at 457 Court Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The rustic brick building, constructed in the early 1900’s, can accommodate up to 40 people for a family-style dinner or up to 50 guests for a buffet event with scattered seating. For events of 41 to 70 guests, our Stable Garden space may be added to the Stable for expanded seating. The Stable Garden is located directly outside the Stable. For an indoor/outdoor event, the Stable doors slide completely open allowing free-flow between the spaces. During the cooler months the Stable Garden is winterized enabling you to celebrate at Frankies year round. The Pink Moon is the brainchild of floral designer Rebecca Shepherd. Rebecca has been in the floral industry for over a decade producing all kinds of events but specializing in weddings. She opened a retail flower shop 3 years ago and found that every single person that entered her store was stunned by the 25 foot tall ceilings, the massive chandelier and the general beauty of the space. Walk in customers would step right over a black rope that was put up for boundaries and look around the space in awe! This building, once an old door factory with two floors, was gutted by the architectural genius and landlord. These walls, this corner, this neighborhood married with the floral expertise of Rebecca and her team have led her to open this very special, unique and intimate space. BROOKLYN NY MICRO-WEDDING VENUE The Pink Moon really does boast the perfect size for micro-weddings and mini-monies! The Bell House is a two-room music and events venue located in Brooklyn, New York. The main room has a 25-foot-high wooden, vaulted ceiling, and a 450-square-foot stage which makes The Bell House ideal for various performances, large gatherings, weddings, and celebrations. THE HISTORY OF THE BELL HOUSE The Bell House, a state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot facility with a separate performance space and lounge, is centrally located between Park Slope and Carroll Gardens. Constructed in the 1920s from an old printing factory and boasting an 88 foot long and 25 foot high magnificent wooden barrel vault ceiling, The Bell House has quickly established itself as a major center for arts and entertainment in Brownstone Brooklyn. In the event that you are planning a large party to commemorate a special occasion, we recommend that you consider renting the entire restaurant; our maximum seating capacity is 60 people. Two days before your event, you must do a final count of attendees. The total cost will be increased by the amount of New York State sales tax, 20 percent gratuity, and a 5 percent planning charge. You are welcome to design the room as you see fit. To avoid a 10% cleaning cost, please book additional time for decorating and remove all decorations at the end of your planned period in order to avoid a 10% cleaning fee. All price packages include the use of the venue for three hours, which begins immediately at the planned event time and ends when the event is over.
