Parkway Place is a family-owned catering and event center in Maumee, Ohio, hosting wedding receptions, corporate banquets, seminars, and social fundraisers. Every event is paired with a dedicated coordinator, and the in-house team handles catering, a fully stocked bar, on-site baking, DJ services, and linens — with menus that accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, and halal diets. Two ballrooms cover a wide range of guest counts. Schedel Arboretum and Gardens is a 17-acre garden estate on the banks of the Portage River in Elmore, Ohio. Developed over five decades by Joe and Marie Schedel — who traveled to more than 120 countries gathering art, antiques, jade carvings, and bronze pieces — the estate was opened to the public in 1991 by the Schedel Foundation and today serves as a nature sanctuary, cultural center, and private event destination. Four distinct spaces accommodate ceremonies and receptions across the grounds. The Traditional Garden Area and Japanese Garden each host outdoor ceremonies for up to 300 guests, with mature plantings, water features, and statuary providing the backdrop. The Stroh Center is a multipurpose arena on the campus of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. The newly renovated Ladyglen Ballroom, the estate's largest, seats up to 300 guests and features a private bar, entertainment stage, balcony seating, and an outdoor patio; the Cadet West Ballroom welcomes up to 200 amid stained glass and 1920s chandeliers; and the intimate Gabriel Ballroom hosts up to 150 beneath string lights and floor-to-ceiling velvet curtains. The farm primary event space is the Azalea House, a converted greenhouse suited for intimate weddings, wedding showers, baby showers, and anniversary celebrations, hosting up to 100 guests. Lakes of Taylor Golf Club is a championship golf course and event venue in Taylor, Michigan, established in 1995 and designed by architect Arthur Hills. Set on a par 72 layout stretching 7,028 yards, the club has grown into one of Metro Detroit's most recognized public courses and a full-service destination for weddings, corporate events, golf outings, and private celebrations. The club's banquet facilities accommodate gatherings from 50 to 185 guests across multiple event spaces, including Banquet Room C and an outdoor covered Terrace that seats up to 120 for wedding ceremonies. The Dock, a newer outdoor venue featuring rustic wood, stone, and granite finishes with retractable screens and bamboo ceiling fans, broadens the range of occasions the club can host.
