Main Dining Room Twenty Three Grand’s greenhouse-like dining room is an architectural marvel. Designed to beautifully coexist with its natural surroundings, it is the only Manhattan venue right on a lake—allowing you to host your wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or corporate event in spectacular fashion. While you’re here, why not join a 150-year-old tradition and explore the lake in a rented rowboat. Better yet, take a ride in an authentic Venetian gondola. With any luck, your gondolier might even break into song. Facility Rental Fee: The venue does not charge a rental fee, but there is a guest minimum—Saturday evening’s minimum is 165 guests, and for Friday or Sunday the minimum is 125 guests. What’s Included: -Five hour exclusive access to Lake Room, at 4,300 sq. ft space that is located adjacent to the restaurant. The room overlooks the lake on the South side with a 450 sq. ft deck and is surrounded on the West and North side by a 3,300 sqft English Garden. -Cocktail hour with butlered hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four course seated meal with choice of two entrées. -Wine service is provided throughout the meal in addition to a five hour open bar. The Standard, East Village, is a quaint, attractive, and eccentric hotel located off Cooper Square in one of New York's most vibrant, artistic areas. It is very much in the spirit of its surroundings. Before ascending to breathtaking vistas of Manhattan, you enter the 21-story tower through the original tenement-style building. There is a tranquil garden hidden beneath the street, the busy, all-day street-side Café Standard with an indoor mushroom farm, and NO BAR, a hugely inclusive new wave bar that accepts anybody and everyone. Venues The Standard, East Village is more than just a collection of restaurants and bars; it offers a diverse range of venues to fit any occasion. You can do it all under our roof, from casual gatherings to board meetings, intimate cocktails to live concerts, seasonal Garden areas to Penthouse vistas of Manhattan. The Penthouse The Penthouse, which is on the 21st story, has a panoramic view of New York City. The Penthouse, with its 1300 square feet of interior space and 1300 square feet of terrace, is ideal for special events ranging from seated dinners and cocktail receptions to corporate meetings and fashion shows. A surround sound music system, four separate bathrooms, and a flexible selection of accessible furniture options are all included in the space. The Overlook The Overlook is a multi-purpose meeting and conference venue with a furnished terrace overlooking our garden. The bright space, which is located on the second floor, can accommodate 16 guests at the boardroom table and has a 60” HDMI compatible TV & Wi-Fi. The Perch The Perch, on the second level, is accessible for private business meetings of 4-6 people. The 255 sq ft room views our private garden on East 5th Street and Bowery, with floor-to-ceiling windows set among the trees. Chairs, a sofa, a coffee table, and a desk are all included in the Perch's setup. Private Dining Room The private dining room at Narcissa may seat up to 10 people for a private lunch, dinner, or meeting. The location, which is adjacent to the restaurant's main dining room and has its own private bar, overlooks our tranquil garden. On request, a high-definition LED television screen can be used for presentations.

The Barrow Mansion has an eclectic, storied history, one that has evolved and remains current in Jersey City’s cultural landscape. Named for its first owner, Dr. William Barrow, who lived here with his wife, Eliza Brower, the Mansion has undergone several transformations throughout the years. Eliza’s brother-in-law, Cornelius Van Vorst, owned much of Jersey City, then largely tidal marsh, and decided to build twin mansions on the higher ground in 1837. Van Vorst aspired to develop a fashionable Manhattan suburb, and reserved one lot to build beautiful Van Vorst Park, which retains its splendor to this day. The mansion where the Van Vorst family lived was torn down in the 1920s. An important reminder of the early developments of this part of Jersey City, the aspirations of its builders, and the changing demographic patterns of the city since its creation, The Barrow Mansion is listed in the National and New Jersey Register of Historic Places.
