The story of Darioush began centuries ago, in the seat of winemaking culture. It culminates here and now - a new intersection of winecraft, extraordinary arts, time-honored customs grounded in an authentic tradition of graciousness. Darioush is a story of the harmonious blending of traditions - a culture of graciousness and thoughtfulness and one rooted in the ideals of individualism and opportunity. Nowhere is the connection between wine and culture more evident than in the history of Persia. Discoveries dating to 5,000 B.C. in the Zagros Mountains of Northern Iran show that winemaking emerged as permanent communities replaced nomadic life and a new age of wine culture began. The history of wine accompanies the very concept of hospitality, inspiring art, poetry, culture, and winecraft for millennia to come. Darioush Khaledi was instilled at an early age with the winemaking craft of his father, inspired by wine culture in the literary city of Shiraz - in modern day Iran - and the ancient city of Persepolis. He became a lifelong collector, seeking out old-world wines infused with tradition and energized by modern technique. Aspiring to the ideals of the American dream, Darioush immigrated to America to seek out opportunities others overlooked. He was an entrepreneur determined to realize his dream, yet always eager to share his journey through his love of wine borne of rich heritage. In 1997, he and his wife Shahpar founded Darioush and began to realize a lifelong aspiration to share the art, architecture, wine, craftsmanship, and culture that inspired their journey. In the late 1990's Darioush and winemaker Steve Devitt made an unorthodox choice, to commit to Southern Napa Valley - choosing its cooler microclimates to develop their unique style. While the focus was in the north, he was headed south. Seeking opportunities others overlooked, Darioush and Steve focused intently on site selection and cooler microclimates in Southern Napa Valley; high atop Mount Veeder and the maritime-influenced Valley floor. Replanting where necessary to unlock the full potential of both the vineyard and wine grape cultivated from it. They committed to a Bordeaux-style of winemaking - a blended style they long admired for the potential to truly express a wine's character. Now these years later, the Darioush estate comprises 120 acres in Southern Napa Valley spanning the Mount Veeder and Oak Knoll AVA's. They believe truly unique wines reflect great vineyards, but also the character of the people behind them. This spirit finds its home in a vineyard estate, an environment of warmth and hospitality.

The name of each room was carefully selected from the important main provinces of the Kingdoms of Siam, displaying the uniqueness and cultures inherited from the old time, such as color tones, handcrafted items, and arts. Chef Lalita Souksamlane wants guests to experience the epitome of the Thai ‘Bann’ lifestyle, with each room offering an authentic experience through a different region of Thailand. Starline Private Events is located in the Starline Social Club, a dynamic and historic location that offers three unique event spaces for private events. The Starline Social Club is a bar, restaurant, and performance venue in Uptown Oakland, housed in a historic three-story Victorian edifice. Our one-of-a-kind and historically significant structure is a true Oakland gem. We offer a flexible location with three separate rooms for private rentals, as well as in-house food and bar service, audiovisual services, and production and styling options. We provide a wide variety of different and creative events, available to all ages, ranging from traditional to edgy, easygoing to formal, 30 people to 450 people. We rent our large Ivy and tree-lined venue to support that purpose by hosting a variety of outstanding events. Our entire location is 6000 square feet and contains a cafe, full commercial kitchen, conference room for additional preparation space, and a big outside patio with gentle hanging lights, ideal for larger seated meals and parties. This rental is for the entire downstairs space, as well as our upstairs office, which can be used as a staging/dressing room. Seated - 175 guests, Standing - 400 guests. Our facility can accommodate a wide range of private events such as weddings, business events, birthday and bridal showers, bar/bat mitzvahs, conferences, and more. To avoid having to wash dishes at night for her large family or having to eat hamburger helper (her brother's favorite dish to cook), Linda traded dish duties with her siblings for cooking duties, and developed an intense passion for planning menus, creating recipes, and putting on dinners and events for her family of 15 children. Linda is the mother of 15 children. In her adolescence, she could frequently be found in bookshops reading cookbooks, and she had a cherished memory of reading "The French Laundry Cookbook" for the first time from cover to cover when it was originally published. She made the decision to attend a cooking school shortly after, having no idea that it would turn out to be a career choice. Having been born and reared in Argentina to an American father and a French mother, she comes from a diverse background of cultures and experiences, which contributes to the diverse range of flavors she enjoys putting into her dishes. She moved to the Bay Area when she was 17 years old in order to attend culinary school in San Francisco. After stays in New York and Kansas City, she returned to the Bay Area and began performing at some of the city's most prestigious restaurants, including Masa's, Campton Place, The French Laundry, and Michael Mina's, among others.

The Mill Valley Community Center is located in Southern Marin County, just 6.6 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and 7.2 miles south of San Rafael. The Community Center opened its doors in April 2001. Our award winning facility offers a perfect environment for any occasion, with a main event space that can accommodate banquet-style seating for up to 285 guests and theater seating for 400. Smaller rooms, throughout the Center are ideal for classes, meetings, workshops and seminars. The center is designed as two buildings, the first of which is comprised of a large, reception hall, teen and senior centers, meeting spaces, and activity rooms. The second building is dedicated to swimming and fitness and includes an indoor swimming pool with retractable roof, a 120-foot spiral water slide, Jacuzzi spa, and outdoor patio. There is an adjoining activity room that is a great venue for poolside parties.

Petroni Vineyards' creator, Lorenzo Petroni, had managed to persuade the Italian Brunello Consorzio, a group dedicated to preserving the wine's geographical purity, to let him use the name on his Moon Mountain Sangiovese. That narrative, on the other hand, is best conveyed in person. Lorenzo's ambition was to create a California Sangiovese that could compete with the renowned and desired Brunello di Montalcino from Italy's Tuscan region. He left home at the age of 17 with only a handful of dollars in his pocket and a woman's pant suit from his mother, who explained that "after he found a job, he could hire a tailor and look the correct part." He worked hard and saved his money, eventually founding The North Beach Restaurant with a buddy, Bruno Orsi, who would be the restaurant's chef. Lorenzo, an incredibly charismatic and welcoming Italian, quickly earned the title "Mayor of North Beach" and is well known for hosting San Francisco's elite for lunch, heated political debates, and late-night Grappa tastings in the restaurant's basement, which also has the grandfathered-in ability to cure its own prosciutto. He was the first restaurant in the area to set up tables outside, much like he did in his native country.

Preservation Park is a collection of 16 turn-of-the-century Victorian buildings set in the heart of downtown Oakland, California, two blocks from the 12th Street/City Center BART station. The park traces its roots to the 1870s, when the site flourished as an upscale residential neighborhood of elaborate Victorian homes. By the 1970s, many structures had fallen into disrepair and a proposed freeway threatened what remained. The City of Oakland responded with a public-private partnership that relocated endangered buildings and restored them for commercial use — preserving the facades, period-appropriate landscaping, Victorian-era park benches, and street lamps that define the property today. Together, the buildings offer 55,604 rentable square feet of space for weddings, corporate events, nonprofit gatherings, private celebrations, and meetings.
