Gibson as treasurer, with Mrs. Paul Mellon serving as Chairman. Mrs. William G. Fletcher and Mrs. Thomas Glascock were also on the committee, which met once a month. The renovation of the building proceeded as planned, with funds raised through private contributions solicited by the committee's members.
