  L'Engle Hall is a renovated event space at the historic Friday Musicale complex in Jacksonville, Florida. The adjacent building to the main Concordia Ballroom, L'Engle Hall was renamed in 2008 to honor Friday Musicale founder Claudia L'Engle Adams and her sister Mary L'Engle, and completed a full renovation in February 2011.   I opened The River Oyster Bar fifteen years ago with the idea of creating a local bistro that serves high-quality oysters and seafood in a comfortable setting with friendly knowledgeable service. Till this day we go to great lengths, working with several purveyors, fishermen and farmers to source the finest sustainable, local when possible seafood available, we purchase only whole fresh fish and butcher in-house, this allows us to maintain the highest quality. Our oysters are flown in from all over the United States in many cases directly from the farm where they are raised in pristine waters, tagged with the harvest area and date to ensure the highest quality and safety. Imagine spending a few hours basking in the sun with your bridesmaids before your big day and how relaxing that would be! Grooms, don't worry; we've got you covered... Relax with your groomsmen in the game room, which features a billiard table, two televisions measuring 58 inches each, a sitting and bar area, and an outdoor putting green. Prepare for the day in the spacious dressing room that is attached and features a private bathroom. Our breathtaking outdoor ceremony location is tucked away beneath an oak tree that is well over a hundred years old. This tree provides a canopy of shade for your guests and a picture-perfect setting for your photographs. As you make your grand entrance through the vintage double doors onto the paved ceremony site, which features a platform so that all of your guests will have a wonderful view of you tying the knot, the ceremony site will be ready for you to begin. There is room for up to 150 guests in the area designated for the ceremony, and white garden chairs are provided. A nearby pergola is available for use for serving drinks prior to the ceremony as well as for hosting live music during the event. Guests have the option of partaking in outdoor activities such as drinking a beverage or playing a game while the bride and groom are off taking photographs at one of the many picturesque locations located on the premises. The cocktail area is covered and features a total of six high-top tables in addition to expansive paved areas that are surrounded by trees. In addition, guests are welcome to explore the grounds and take their own one-of-a-kind photographs. We have over two dozen cows, incredible landscaping, an original schoolhouse built in the 1900s, and a blueberry farm coming in 2022.
