Larry and Karen began to dream about magnificent vineyards and possibly even creating wine while traveling around Italy, France, Australia, New Zealand, and other exotic locations. When Wild Stallion Vineyards was founded in 2009, that goal became a reality! In 2008, Wild Stallion Vineyards planted a small test site of Blanc du Bois grapes, a variety of the widespread Vitis vinifera that is best suited to the Gulf Coast environment. Blanc des Bois grapes create a dry, fruity wine that has received numerous national and international prizes. We currently have nearly three acres of trees planted, and they are doing fantastically! We planted two more acres directly adjacent to the Event Center in the spring of 2015 to provide our guests a closer look at the vines. A vineyard is the most tranquil and lovely location for a wedding. Who wouldn't want to exchange vows in front of a vineyard? Wild Stallion Vineyards is Harris County's lone vineyard, so you won't find anything like it anywhere else.
