  Our Personal Narrative Katy, Texas's Bowery House and Gardens are located at the intersection of Franz Road and Katy Fort Bend Road, in the city's historic district. As a legacy for his family, the original owner planted oak trees throughout the property, with seven of them planted in a row facing Franz Road on the west side. Eventually, his grandson inherited the land, and he refused to sell it when the property was zoned for commercial use because he was concerned that the oaks would be destroyed to make way for a development. When we approached the grandson about purchasing the parcel of land, we assured him that it was the oak trees that made the property so appealing to us. He agreed to sell on the condition that the oaks would be left in their original location. When it came to commercially developing the land, we considered a number of different options. The Bowery House and Gardens at 7 Oaks came to fruition as a result of combining our personal event planning expertise with the picturesque setting of the property. The venue and surrounding gardens have far exceeded our expectations in every respect. The beauty and historic tranquility of 7 Oaks have brought us great joy, and we are delighted to share it with our friends, neighbors, and guests. Special Occasions Among the many types of events that the Bowery House and Gardens caters to are Quinceaneras, family reunions, recitals, fundraisers, corporate and community gatherings, among others.   Chef Jacques Fox was born in the North African city of "Sidi-Bel-Abbes" and raised in France by his Polish grandparents. Even before graduating from high school, Chef Jacques Fox demonstrated an early aptitude for cooking. Following high school, Chef Jacques enrolled in a two-year program at the College D'Enseignement Techniques in Tulle, France, to further his culinary education. When Chef Jacques graduated from his training program in 1975, he relocated to Paris, where he accepted his first chef position at Maison Prunier, a world-renowned seafood restaurant. In 1976, he joined Elitair Maxims, where he worked for four years before being promoted to executive chef. After leaving Paris in 1983, Chef Jacques went to work for Club Mediterrainnee (Club Med), where he had the opportunity to further develop his culinary skills and understanding of global cuisine at luxury resorts around the world, including those in Kamarina, Sicily; Noumea, New Caledonia; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Farakulafushi, Maldives; Kos, Greece; Eilat, Israel; Cooper Mountain, United States; and Les Menuires et (Click on the "read more" link above to learn more.) The Victorian-Old West environment of Painted Lakes exudes country beauty and charm. The Texas Tumbleweed Barn is located on top of a hill overlooking a duck pond and is surrounded by old oak trees. You may stand on the porch and take in the gorgeous sunsets while taking in a panoramic view of the massive 500-acre property. The barn also has a 3,000 square foot dance floor adjacent to it, plus trees that light up at nightfall so you can enjoy the view at night! Enjoy a weekend wedding or a one-day wedding (on chosen dates) while we take care of the details. We set up, clean up, and provide a bartender for your event.
