  Built in 1838, the Michel B. Menard House is Galveston's oldest home, a Greek Revival landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Grand Ionic columns front the house, and a collection of period antiques fills its interior, including a dining room furnished with federal-period pieces. The result is an intimate setting well suited to small weddings, receptions, dinners, and luncheons. Beyond the house itself, live-oak-shaded grounds surround a romantic gazebo that can shelter a band or buffet or serve as a podium, making the landscaped exterior a natural extension for outdoor functions. Indoors, the house welcomes up to 75 guests for a standing reception or 24 for a seated dinner, while the grounds accommodate up to 150 for a standing event. Nearby in the same Historic Menard Complex, the detached Menard Hall offers additional space for larger seated gatherings, meetings, and celebrations.

  The Waterfront Event Center is Galveston's only waterfront wedding and event venue! Enjoy breathtaking sunset views of Galveston Bay and Offatts Bayou. The site has two large decks overlooking the ocean, one for your unforgettable ceremony and the other for your cocktail reception, supper, or dancing afterwards. Dinner and dancing can also be held inside the artistically and stylishly decorated ballroom, which features Italian marble tiling. The Waterfront Event Center can host that special party, meeting, retreat, or gala for your business or organization, thanks to its vast spacious decks and ballroom. Add a luau, water, or beach theme to your party. There are also boat rentals available. Add a flyboard or hoverboard display from Extreme Watersports, which has a location on site for your convenience. Better yet, let your special guests learn and try flyboarding, hoverboarding, and jetskiing for themselves! On-site kayaks and paddle boards are available for a more casual experience. Standing on water or holding a Yoga class on paddleboards from Galveston Paddle Board Center, which also runs onsite for your convenience, says Zen and being at one with nature like nothing else.
