Lake Tyler Petroleum Club sits on 35 acres of pine woods along a private, gated peninsula on Lake Tyler, just minutes from downtown Tyler, Texas and about 90 miles from both Dallas and Shreveport. Union Springs is an East Texas wedding and event location. It is situated on 33 acres of land surrounded by magnificent woodlands. It gives the appearance of a rustic western horse barn, yet it also features modern facilities for brides. The barn is 5000 square feet and can comfortably seat 250 people. There are two covered porches with seating for another 65 people. A bride's dressing room with her own restroom and vanity space is available in the barn. There is also a separate dressing room for the groom. The unusual Dutch doors on the front of the barn provide a separate entrance for each dressing room. A catering kitchen is located adjacent to the buffet area. Your caterer can utilize the commercial refrigerator, warming cabinet, ice machine, and prep tables in the kitchen. Founded in 1967 on the shore of Sikes Lake, the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas is an accredited art museum that has served the community for more than half a century. The museum's permanent collection spans more than 1,600 works, with a focus on American prints and photographs, including a 1677 print by John Foster and historic Wichita Falls photography by C.A. Fuhs. The museum's five galleries sit alongside a set of spaces built for private events, including the Connie and Mac Cannedy Event Hall, a 2,000-square-foot room with a polished concrete floor and views over a terrace and Sikes Lake, and the Ruby and Robert Priddy Pavilion, an outdoor pavilion with a covered stage and in-ground seating added in 2015. This location can serve as your one-stop wedding shop; you bring the groom and the gown, and we will take care of the rest. A wedding chapel, restaurant, numerous reception venues, and a Bed & Breakfast are all part of the property. This venue is warm and inviting, with an elegant country feel. This waterfront location boasts a party barn that can accommodate up to 400 people and is great for a shabby chic wedding or country-style event. A big screened-in porch area near to the river also provides for an unforgettable outdoor patio wedding. It can be used as an extension of the party barn for cocktails and mingling, with a capacity of 250 people. For a rehearsal supper or a small gathering, you can use the Finger Pier on the River or the Yellowstone boat and Dido's Restaurant. The wedding room features three huge makeup mirrors as well as space for the bride's entourage, making it the ideal location for getting ready. The wonderful pipe draperies, lighting, and decor at River Rendezview will enhance and change your celebration. Our Personal Narrative Katy, Texas's Bowery House and Gardens are located at the intersection of Franz Road and Katy Fort Bend Road, in the city's historic district. As a legacy for his family, the original owner planted oak trees throughout the property, with seven of them planted in a row facing Franz Road on the west side. Eventually, his grandson inherited the land, and he refused to sell it when the property was zoned for commercial use because he was concerned that the oaks would be destroyed to make way for a development. When we approached the grandson about purchasing the parcel of land, we assured him that it was the oak trees that made the property so appealing to us. He agreed to sell on the condition that the oaks would be left in their original location. When it came to commercially developing the land, we considered a number of different options. The Bowery House and Gardens at 7 Oaks came to fruition as a result of combining our personal event planning expertise with the picturesque setting of the property. The venue and surrounding gardens have far exceeded our expectations in every respect. The beauty and historic tranquility of 7 Oaks have brought us great joy, and we are delighted to share it with our friends, neighbors, and guests. Special Occasions Among the many types of events that the Bowery House and Gardens caters to are Quinceaneras, family reunions, recitals, fundraisers, corporate and community gatherings, among others. Because we have multiple indoor spaces, we can accommodate up to 600 people on all three floors if we use all of them together.
