Long Branch Historic House and Farm is a circa-1811 manor house set on 400 acres of Virginia countryside in Boyce, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Clarke County — about an hour and a half from Washington, D.C. and fifteen minutes from Berryville and Winchester. The nonprofit property doubles as a working horse retirement farm, and its gardens, lawns, and historic rooms are used for weddings, private parties, and community gatherings throughout the year. For ceremonies, couples can choose between the Sheila Macqueen Garden, which accommodates around 125 guests, or the more intimate Rose Garden, which holds about 25. Indoors, the mansion's East Gallery seats up to 75 for a smaller wedding or reception, with a 40-by-100-foot tent pad available on the grounds for larger seated events. A Bridal Suite with its own dressing room and bathroom, along with a Groom's "Tack Room," give wedding parties dedicated space to prepare before the ceremony. Pharsalia is an 1814 estate built by Major Thomas Massie as a wedding gift for his son William, set in Virginia's Tye River Valley on the shoulder of dePriest Mountain in Nelson County. Once a working agricultural operation spanning more than 10,000 acres, the property retains several original structures, including its historic smokehouse and additional outbuildings, and continues today as a working flower farm under owners Foxie and Richard Morgan. The estate's grounds include lawns, shaded porches, gardens, orchards, vineyards, and mountain and orchard views, and host weddings, private events, and workshops for up to 240 guests. Indoors, the Formal Dining Room offers space for smaller catered luncheons and dinners, while a covered atrium tent with clear sidewalls provides weather-protected space from April through October. Custom floral design using farm-grown blooms is available for weddings, drawing on Pharsalia's history as a flower farm.

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley sits on 214 acres in Winchester, Virginia, making it the largest green space in the city and pairing a 50,000-square-foot museum building — designed by architect Michael Graves — with the historic Glen Burnie House and six acres of formal gardens. Glen Burnie House, built in 1794, was transformed into a refined home by Julian Wood Glass Jr. and R. Lee Taylor beginning in the 1950s before the museum itself opened in 2005 to share their collection with the public. For private events, the museum offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to gatherings of different sizes and styles. The beautifully renovated Glen Burnie House, with its formal Drawing Room, Library, and adjacent Terrace, suits an intimate dinner or cocktail reception, with access extended to the surrounding garden rooms. The Glen Burnie Gardens themselves offer settings from the Grand Allee to the more intimate Water Garden for ceremonies and receptions. The estate carries a Civil War history, with trenches and gun emplacements once dug near the house and a cannonball still lodged in its eaves. Discovered by owner David Scibal in 2008 and renovated over two years, the property today blends historic preservation with an urban-meets-rustic aesthetic across 25 individually designed rooms and suites. The property offers several distinct spaces for events. The Garden Walk, with its trellis pergola and seasonal plantings, is the most popular ceremony location. The Ballroom, inside the Manor House, features a hardwood floor, a crystal chandelier, and local artwork, while the adjoining Parlor offers a smaller, more intimate room with a baby grand piano. A climate-controlled tent over the Slated Patio, with adjustable Palladian window walls, extends the property's capacity for larger receptions. CEREMONY The Indoor Great Room, which can accommodate up to 75 people, the Outdoor Terrace, and the Manor Lawn, which can accommodate up to 150 people, are all available for ceremonies at the Manor. Grey Chivari Chairs are included in your package and are ideal for the ceremony or reception. In the event of bad weather, the indoor great room is a great option. COCKTAIL HOUR & RECEPTION Cocktail Hour can be held both inside and outside.
