Revitalized the former Old Taylor Distillery founded in the 1800’s (and abandoned for over four decades), Castle & Key Distillery is an architectural treasure centered around a limestone castle, elaborate gazebos and sunken gardens. In addition to the open space available within one of the beautiful warehouses on site, several gardens and outdoor spaces have been transformed into event venues for private events, tastings, cocktail parties and weddings. Award-winning garden designer, Jon Carloftis (known for his work with NYC rooftops, including Google), is resurrecting the historic landscape that surrounds the distillery and new visitor’s center. At the foot of the castle is a koi pond with benches surrounded by greenery, southern magnolia and hydrangea. The grounds also feature a quarter-mile botanical garden path from which the distillery team will source botanicals for their gins and other spirits. Castle & Key Distillery is an exclusive, premium event venue that will become available for weddings and private events starting in September of 2017.

Blackacre State Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead is a 300-acre nonprofit preserve situated 25 minutes east of downtown Louisville, Kentucky, recognized as Kentucky's first nature preserve. The property centers on the Presley Tyler House, a restored 1844 farmhouse, and a double-crib barn dating to the late 18th century — a homestead first established by the Tyler family around 1795, with roots reaching back to Revolutionary War-era Kentucky. Rolling meadows, mature hardwood forests, spring-fed creeks, and a waterfall trail share the grounds with Louisville's largest community garden. The preserve hosts weddings, private celebrations, business meetings, and birthday parties across several distinct settings. The historic barn and surrounding grounds accommodate up to 300 guests for receptions, while the open meadow near the farmhouse offers a pastoral ceremony setting for up to 100 guests. An open-vendor policy gives couples and event planners flexibility to select their own caterers, tent providers, and décor vendors. Hermitage Farm is a working thoroughbred farm and event venue set on over 700 acres of rolling Kentucky countryside in Goshen, about 20 miles outside Louisville along a Kentucky Scenic Byway. The property traces its roots to 1835, when its Greek Revival Main House was built, and today it balances an active agricultural identity with a full-service private events program. For celebrations and gatherings, the farm offers five distinct venues spanning indoor and outdoor settings. The Hayloft above Barn8 Restaurant accommodates up to 175 guests in a renovated space with reclaimed lumber, radiant globe lights, and built-in audio-visual technology. The historic Main House hosts intimate events for up to 50 guests, while the limestone Patio and adjacent Paddock—framed by pin oak trees and classic black plank fencing—scale from 200 to 700 guests. A state-of-the-art Greenhouse with a Citrus Room and Living Wall Room seats up to 50 for elegant gatherings, and the renovated Stud Barn brings equestrian character to events for up to 90 guests. All events are catered exclusively by Barn8 Restaurant, whose menus center on locally grown vegetables and pasture-raised meats from the farm and surrounding region. Optional bourbon tastings and farm tours round out the experience, making Hermitage Farm one of the few event venues where the setting, the food, and the programming are all rooted in the same land.
