Operating since 1745, the General Warren Inn is a historic tavern-turned-inn in Malvern, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Chester County's Great Valley. The property began as the "Sign of Admiral Vernon" and later took its current name in honor of Dr. Joseph Warren, a Revolutionary War figure killed at Bunker Hill; over the centuries it has served as a stagecoach stop on the Philadelphia and Lancaster Turnpike, a Seventh-Day worship gathering point, and a temperance hotel before its 1984 restoration brought back its 18th-century character. Today the inn combines eight guest suites with several distinct event settings, including a main dining room, the Warren Tavern, and the Spring House Terrace, a secluded outdoor space built around a 275-year-old springhouse.
