Cottonwood Barn Venue is a beautiful white barn set in the countryside of Paris, Texas. This property has 85 acres of beautiful natural terrain and a 7,500-square-foot barn. Couples and their guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the lake from the barn balcony or the 20x20 pier in the background, which is surrounded by magnificent hardwoods. Overnight lodging is only 4 miles away, and Dallas is only an hour and a half away. Capacity and Infrastructure Separate bridemaid and bridal suites are located above, while groomsmen quarters are located downstairs. There are two tiny bars outside that can be built in addition to the interior 35-foot bar. The barn is completely temperature controlled, allowing activities to take place at any time of year.   Founded in 1958 by the Junior League of Longview, the Longview Museum of Fine Arts (LMFA) has grown from a small annual art invitational into a cultural cornerstone of East Texas. The museum has been located on Tyler Street in downtown Longview since 1998, and its permanent collection has grown to nearly 1,200 works, including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, and works on paper, centered on early Texas Regionalist art from the 1930s through the 1970s. Adjacent to the museum, the Pelaia Plaza JT Smith Sculpture Garden offers an outdoor gallery with a performance stage, landscaped grounds, and outdoor sculpture, serving as a green-space gathering spot in the heart of downtown Longview. Its centerpiece is a white cottage built between 1860 and 1880 and purchased in 1909 by Allison Mayfield, a former Texas Secretary of State and Railroad Commission chairman, whose family added the cottage's porches and a stone-and-wood pergola patio. Just under two acres of walled garden surround the cottage, with water lily and lotus ponds enclosed by antique rock walls, 32 volunteer-tended garden beds, and the largest stand of Sabal Texana palm trees north of the Rio Grande. Free-roaming peafowl, descended from birds gifted to the park in 1937, along with herons, koi, and turtles, share the grounds. The property hosts small private gatherings, including weddings, baby showers, proposals, and memorial services, as well as meetings, lectures, classes, and small retreats.
