The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is a cultural landmark and event venue located at 1770 13th Street in Boulder, Colorado. The building itself is a work of art: a 1987 sister-city gift from Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Boulder, its hand-carved cedar columns, Persian-painted ceilings, and eight exterior ceramic panels depicting the Tree of Life were crafted by more than 40 Tajik artisans working entirely without power tools. After a decade in storage, the teahouse was assembled in Boulder and opened in 1998, making it one of the most architecturally distinctive venues in the Rocky Mountain region.
