The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception stands as Atlanta's most historic church, originally built in 1848 to serve workers constructing the railroad that gave the city its name. Crane Creek Vineyards is a family-owned winery set high in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, near Brasstown Bald — Georgia's highest peak — and less than two hours from Atlanta. Founded by Eric and DeAnne Seifarth after their retirement from Army service, the vineyard planted its first vines in 1995 and has grown into a multi-venue property rooted in family heritage and Southern hospitality. The vineyard's centerpiece for private events is the Stone House Tasting Room, a hilltop venue with a stone terrace that opens onto sweeping panoramic views of the vineyards, a pond, and the surrounding mountain ridges.
