Embedded with Mythology In the midst of one of the spacious coves that indent the eastern shore of the Hudson, at the broad expansion of the river known to the ancient Dutch navigators as the Tappan Zee, and where they always prudently shortened sail and implored the protection of St. Nicholas when they crossed, there lies a small market-town or rural port, which is sometimes referred to as Greensburgh, but which is more commonly and properly known by the name of Tarry Town." "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," written by Washington Irving and first published in 1820, is a classic American folk tale. Atop a hill above Sunnyside, the famed author's home in Tarrytown, the Tarrytown House Estate offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area, which is rich in history and folklore. Other attractions in "Sleepy Hollow Country" include Kykuit, the Rockefeller family estate in Pocantico Hills; Lyndhurst, the former residence of financier Jay Gould; and Philipsburg Manor, a colonial farm.

The Fulton is a one-of-a-kind venue for your private event, with indoor and outdoor riverfront dining with views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Fulton is Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's first seafood restaurant, and it's in an area of town where he fell in love with the vibrancy of the former Fulton Fish Market in 1986. The menu, which pays homage to The Seaport's past, focuses on the best ingredients and the abundance of the sea and beyond. Vongerichten has created a devoted following of diners who follow him across the world for four decades. ABC Kitchen, abcV, and Public Kitchen in New York, Market in Paris, and Mercato in Shanghai and Guangzhou are among the chef's 36 (and counting) restaurants. The Seaport's unique nautical heritage has been woven into the textures of The Fulton, which Vongerichten and interior designers Yabu Pushelberg have created as a venue to link New Yorkers and visitors with the city's maritime past. The restaurant's main dining floor is encircled by hand-painted murals by painters Diego Castao and Chandler Noah. The work, titled "South of Cape Horn" and inspired by Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, relates the narrative of explorers who embark on a chance expedition in quest of a rumored sea monster. The restaurant's waterfront location provides a unique New York dining experience, complete with patio seating and some of the best unobstructed views of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Heron Hill Winery
9301 Co Rd 76, Hammondsport, NY 14840, USA- Spaces for 170 Guests
Heron Hill Winery sits on the shores of Keuka Lake in Hammondsport, New York, at the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region. Founded in 1972 by John and Jo Ingle, the winery began with 20 hand-cleared acres planted to Chardonnay, Riesling, and Seyval Blanc — and more than fifty years later, it continues to operate on a philosophy of handcrafted quality. The guiding principle is "boot prints in its vineyards, not tire tracks": vines are hand-maintained, grapes are hand-harvested, and tastings are personalized. The winery's centerpiece is a tasting room designed in 2000 by architect Charles Warren, built with local stone and Finger Lakes architectural elements. Travel + Leisure recognized it as one of the top 10 most spectacular tasting rooms in the world — one of only two U.S. locations honored. Heron Hill has earned numerous competition awards, including Best of Show at the San Francisco International Wine Competition, with a signature emphasis on cool-climate Rieslings.

Strand Book Store
828 Broadway, New York, NY 10003, USA- Spaces for 100-200 Guests
- 1 Event Space
The Strand's Rare Book Room is a perfect venue for weddings, celebrations, and private events. Spend your special evening surrounded by rare and antique books curated by Strand's resident experts. The Strand was established in 1927 on Fourth Avenue, in the heart of what was then known as "Book Row." Book Row was a six-block stretch of land that housed forty-eight independent bookstores. Ben Bass, the father, was only twenty-five years old when he started his modest used bookstore in his hometown of St. Louis. Entrepreneur at heart and voracious reader by nature, this erudite gentleman began with $300 dollars of his own money and another $300 dollars in borrowed funds from a friend. Ben wished to create a space where books would be cherished and book lovers could congregate in a welcoming environment. After the London street where avant-garde writers such as Thackeray, Dickens, and Mill once congregated as well as interesting book publishers, he named his bookstore after the same street. The Strand quickly established itself as a Greenwich Village institution, where writers gathered to converse, sell their books, and hunt for a hidden treasure to purchase and keep for themselves. Today, the Strand is the only remaining structure from Book Row's illustrious past. Ben's son, Fred, was already learning the ropes of the family business at the age of thirteen. He, too, was a book enthusiast who quickly entered the book trade. After serving his country in the Armed Forces, Fred returned home to New York, where he continued to work alongside his father in the family business. By 1957, Fred had relocated the store to its current location at 12th Street and Broadway, which is just around the corner. Eventually, Fred found himself spending the majority of his time at the purchasing desk, cultivating relationships with regulars and on the lookout for the next great find... In the following generation, Fred's daughter, Nancy, joined her father in the family business. When she finished college and spent a brief period in Louisiana, she returned to her hometown and joined the Strand team at the age of twenty-five. Today, she manages the store and feels privileged to be able to carry on her family's 90-year tradition. It's still up in the air whether one, two, or all three of Nancy's children will be the next in line to join the Strand organization.
