We purchased our magnificent 10-acre property in Scurry, Texas, in 2014 with the help of my husband Glen. It was a dream come true for us to be able to retire from the Big City, and we were thrilled with our new country living lifestyle. After much deliberation, we have decided to pursue our dream of hosting weddings and events in our own home and backyard. We officially opened the doors to our lovely property, which is now known as The Hay Bale Wedding & Events Venue, in the summer of 2016. We are a small family-owned firm that enjoys making a difference in the lives of all of our customers. Your event will be held in our venue, which is decorated in the down-home country chic style you are looking for. The Castle in the Country $3,500 Up to 175 people can be accommodated for Saturday events. The Rustic Chandelier is $2,500 and is available Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 100 people. The Stagecoach is offering a $1,000 prize every Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 60 people. Beautifully appointed Bridal Suite with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the grounds and pool area. A private dressing area, vanity stations, and an en suite bathroom round off this luxurious space. With an en-suite bathroom, a full kitchen, a flat screen TV, and a quiet front porch / back porch view of the property, the Groom Suite is ideal for a wedding party. Caterers, vendors, and BYOB are all available for you to choose from. On the dance floor The Dance Floor is where all of the action takes place! Wood floors, exposed rustic beams, endless rows of twinkle lights, and an elegant chandelier are some of the features of this room. The Hay Bale Wedding & Events Venue is known for its logo-inspired altar, which is a mainstay of the venue. The ranch was purchased in 2014, and the owners first totally restored the white ranch home before building the three-story barn in 2015. The RoseMary Barn was then renovated from a dilapidated 1970s pole barn at the property's back to the lovely white venue it is today. The RoseMary Barn takes its name from the proprietor's mother. The RoseMary Barn is a stunning all-white event and wedding location located about 5 miles from Historic Downtown Mckinney and hotels. White shiplap is used to build the inside walls and ceilings. The venue features a large bridal suite with h/m stations, cable tv+mini fridge, a masculine grooms cabin with cable tv/hook ups for a gaming center+mini fridge, a large outdoor ceremony space shaded by mature trees, a large covered porch for cocktail hour, a bar kitchen for the bartenders, a large catering prep kitchen, and a 40x32 covered pavilion that can be used for a wedding reception. We have a generator in case of power shortages, and we are Uber-friendly, allowing cars to stay overnight if Uber service is required. For our booked wedding groups and/or families, we have on-site over night accommodations in addition to the venue. This two-story barndominium has a cool modern feel to it. It includes a white shiplap kitchen with open cabinetry, gold lights, and a beautiful modern farmhouse vibe. It features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living areas. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. It is a little over 2000 square feet and can sleep up to 12 people. Our three-story barn has it on the second and third floors.

Flying V Ranch is a 450-acre working cattle ranch just outside Decatur, Texas, neighboring the LBJ National Grasslands. The property has belonged to the Warner family for three generations, and the venue took shape when mother-daughter team Sherry and Page Warner chose to open the ranch to weddings and private events after the loss of the family patriarch. The Reception Hall occupies the ranch's original auction barn, keeping its white shiplap walls, wood floors, and industrial beams alongside a chandelier for a mix of rustic Texas character and polish; it offers an indoor seated capacity of 280, with many adjacent outdoor spaces available for expansion. Just outside, an Outdoor Chapel opens through freestanding cathedral doors onto 360-degree ranch views, with white wooden pews, an arched pavilion with a working bell, and a pond backdrop. A Cocktail Garden strung with overhead lights, a central fountain, biergarten-style tables, and a fire pit rounds out the grounds, and a Covered Pavilion adapts easily to lounge, dining, ceremony, or dance-floor use. Located in the heart of Texas's Hill Country, A Thousand Cedars offers a unique forest setting brimming with majestic Cedar trees, big Oak trees, and a variety of other native Texas plants. Many clearly indicated paths lead to the location, providing convenient access for the Wedding Party and their guests. The natural scenery also provides fantastic photography options for the entire wedding party and their guests. A Colorado and Industrial motif has been included into the design of the venue itself, which features Cedar beams, black iron trusses, exposed brickwork, vaulted ceilings that reach 30 feet in height, and enormous glass windows on all sides that let the forest and natural light to fill the space. Our Bridal and Groom Suites, which are completely furnished, are accessible via a stairway near the entryway. Each Suite will be large enough to accommodate entire bridal parties as they prepare for the big day, and it will be equipped with its own shower, bath, vanities, mirrors, and windows to let in plenty of natural light. Leading from the suites, you will arrive at the inside balcony, which provides a panoramic view of the entire reception hall and is an excellent location for additional wedding day photos or bouquet throwing. In the back of the Ceremony/Reception hall, there will be a complete bar for you to stock with your own beverages, as well as access to a kitchen for any culinary needs you may have.
