City Tap House DC prides themselves on using locally sourced ingredients. Their chefs are experts in their craft and, like their favorite brewers, champion innovation, integrity and hard work. Above all, City Tap House DC's goal is to see their food and craft beer enhance your special event and ensure it is one your guests will love. For City Tap House DC, craft is everything. “Craft” is most often defined as doing things by hand. For City Tap House DC, craft is complex, innovative beers. Craft is food that inspires and surprises the palate. Craft is service that delights and exceeds expectations. Most importantly, craft means championing love and integrity in every aspect of what they do. From India Pale to Berliner Weisse, Fruited Wheats to Barrel-Aged Stouts, the world of craft beer is rich with variety and innovation. With so much beer to try, entering this world can feel overwhelming. Throw in jargon like “hoppy-ness,” “cask-conditioned,” and “brettanomyces” — it’s easy to drown in the vocabulary of craft beer alone! But that’s why City Tap House DC is here: to make craft beer accessible to all. In City Tap House DC's kitchen, craft comes first. Like beer slowly fermenting in a tank, their food is prepared with equal parts precision and patience. Lead by Executive Chef, Ian Branning our menu blends personal expertise with regional traditions to make something daring and refreshing.

It's never looked better than it does right now. In recent years, speakeasies have received a great deal of attention, but there is another era of bars in America that sent young people scrambling to find a random door covered in stickers and illuminated by an ominous pink glow, known as The Underground Rave. It was not uncommon in the late twentieth century to arrive at a party by walking down an alley, past a loading dock, and entering the party through the kitchen. There were lots of neon, lots of bright colors, and lots of black lights. Because there was no craft movement at the time, people drank trashy mixed drinks like Cosmos, Long Island Iced Teas, and "the blue one," which were popular at the time. Those were the days, and we at Never Looked Better miss them, but we wanted to bring that feeling into the modern era. Drinks like Dirty Vodka Martinis made with homemade brine and fresh olives that are stuffed with soft blue cheese on a daily basis, a pink Cosmo made with Old Tom gin, fresh berry juice, and freshly squeezed lemon, and of course a silky Espresso Martini made with premium coffee liqueur and custom cold brew are all available. If that's something you're interested in, you can find us at 130 Blagden Alley in the heart of downtown. However, you must first pass through the kitchen to get to the door with the stickers on it and the bright red glow.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE HILL Longtime residents and visitors alike fall in love with the community's strong sense of history and identity, which is enhanced by its small village feel in the heart of Washington. In contrast to the awe-inspiring sights of the Capitol and Supreme Court, other streets are lined with charming rowhouses and public parks. AROUND THE CURRENT CORNER Capitol Hill's shops, restaurants, and cafes, which stretch from Pennsylvania Avenue to Eastern Market and Barracks Row, continue to entice both locals and visitors alike. Visit nearby attractions such as the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, or take a bike ride along some of the most beautiful streets in the United States. HOW TO GET HERE Washington's easternmost border is formed by Capitol Hill, which provides easy access to major highways, several Metro lines, and Union Station. A number of Capital Bikeshare stations are also located in the area, particularly to the east of the Capitol. Walking or cycling around the neighborhood is a breeze because the blocks are relatively short and flat. America's Square is an iconic and irreplaceable piece of DC real estate, and the OBSERVATORY is located on top of it. AMERICA'S SQUARE, JOINED BY A DRAMATIC GLASS ATRIUM, IS COMPOSED OF TWO DISTINCTIVE BUILDINGS UNIQUE TO THEMSELVES. LOUISIANA AVENUE is a beautiful, historic building that was originally constructed in 1935 and boasts a classic limestone facade, a two-story marble lobby with Greek columns, and finished ceiling heights of nearly 12 feet. 51 LOUISIANA AVENUE is located in the heart of the historic district of New Orleans. In 2009, Lord Richard Rogers designed a glass and steel building at 300 New Jersey Avenue in New York City that is bold and innovative. Lord Rogers is a well-known international architect who has won numerous awards for his work.

Umaya will delight your senses in every way, from the refreshing décor to the Asian comfort food and the scent of the Izakaya grill.. Umaya brings a much-needed Izakaya presence to the nation's capital, which was previously lacking. It is similar to tapas restaurants in that they encourage guests to share and enjoy their time together over a few drinks, which is always the case at an izakaya restaurant. A wide selection of beer and sake will be available at Umaya, which will complement the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of the restaurant. Every few months, the seasonal menu will be updated, but favorite staples will remain on the menu. In Japanese, the word 'Umaya' literally translates as a 'place that tastes good.' In contrast to your traditional upscale sushi restaurant, Umaya is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself after work, on weekends, or whenever you need to relax and unwind. Our team at Umaya Izakaya is ready to assist you if you are looking for a spectacular space to host your next family occasion or business gathering in the greater Los Angeles area. The National Building Museum, established in 1980 by an act of Congress, has had a transformative impact on the public's awareness of the impact of architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, construction, planning, and design. In our exhibitions, educational programs, and special events, we welcome visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in tales about the built world and how it has the ability to affect the lives of individuals, communities, and our collective future. The Museum is housed in the historic Pension Building, which boasts one of the most awe-inspiring places in the nation's capital: a towering, wide Great Hall with eight gigantic Corinthian columns, which is one of the nation's most important historical landmarks. terra cotta frieze covers the whole building's facade, stretching 1,200 feet in length. It has been the site of some of Washington, D.C.'s most magnificent events since 1885, when the National Building Museum first opened its doors. Take a look at five spectacular, historic rooms that can be reserved for your seated meal, reception, performance, or business conference. Contact the Special Events Department if you would like additional information about event rental options.
