    Watchman's

99 Krog St NE suite y, Atlanta, GA 30307, USA

Airy, modern eatery offering a seafood-forward menu alongside oysters, beers, cocktails & wine. Thank you to everyone who has joined us for dinner on our patio over the last two weeks. Your patience, kindness, and understanding as we shook off the cobwebs were above and beyond our wildest dreams. We at Kimball House and Watchman's were truly on the other side of hospitality, and we cannot express our gratitude to you enough for your assistance. And now we are both delighted and scared as we prepare to take yet another step forward in the direction of the new normality. Beginning on June 24th, our dining room will be open for a limited number of people. As before, we shall adhere to the distance requirements and continue to cover our faces and hands as necessary. Every day, we check our employees, and we have also installed six plasma cooling generators in all of our HVAC units, which kill any airborne viruses, germs, and mold as they pass through the system. We simply have two questions: Please stay at home and try again another day if you are not feeling 100 percent. We have no intention of leaving the country. 2. Don't forget to bring a mask. Our number one concern is to keep our employees healthy so that you may relax and enjoy yourself. When a result, please be prepared to cover your shoulders as you pass through the dining area.

The Ticonderoga Club, located in Krog Street Market, is a colonial-era–inspired pub that serves seafood, sandwiches, and handmade cocktails. What is the significance of Ticonderoga? A question posed by all new members as well as distinguished guests. This is Ticonderoga: a place of gatherings and plans and machinations; a place of noisy drinking and thankful feeding; a place of festivity, revelation, and revolution; a place for friends and wayward strangers to come together and stay. Those with a striving soul and an honest heart are welcome to join Ticonderoga, a club that is open to everybody. The company was founded in 2015. Following a year-long vision quest across the South, we came to the conclusion that it is not concepts that energize us, but rather the mere reality of being in close proximity to the people we admire and are lucky enough to call our peers. We were expecting a large number of our friends to be at Krog Street Market! We made the decision that we wanted to participate in the celebration, and a party always needs extra ice, food, and beverages," said the group. Initiators of the Ticonderoga Club Atlanta Chapter

George and Judy Lee, with the help of Skip Engelbrecht, founded La Maison Rouge in 1995. Located in the center of Paris on Ponce, which has been a prominent shopping destination in midtown Atlanta for more than 30 years. The extravagant and lavish furnishings were gathered from abroad buying trips, mansions in Georgia, and we are especially privileged to have some pieces from Coretta Scott's and Dr. Martin Luther King's homes. We've staged countless festivities, fundraisers, and events over the previous 25 years. On the 100th anniversary of the building's construction, a fire broke out on Ponce de Leon on Thanksgiving Eve, 2019. The cause is unknown, but despite the enormous destruction, much of the furniture and the heart of La Maison Rouge were spared. We never imagined we'd be able to locate anything as special as our Midtown apartment, but we did! The Healey Building, where we now reside, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1913, it's a magnificent neo-gothic marble structure with a stunning entry rotunda that we can use in addition to our new area. We now have a greater capacity and more availability for smaller events thanks to the new space, which is about double the size of our prior location. Furthermore, we are no longer limited to merely holding evening activities. We may now host events at any time! If you liked our prior location in Midtown, you'll adore our new digs.

  • Featured photo from Nina & Rafi

    Nina & Rafi

661 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30312, USA

Nina and Rafi is a neighborhood pizza business located on the Atlanta Beltline. Pizza and Italian-style pub meals are served, and a complete bar is available, including an extensive amaro collection. We have a huge patio with plenty of seats. We do not take bookings at this time. It is our policy to operate in a CASHLESS environment. We are a rustic Italian restaurant and pizzeria that also serves brunch. The Detroit-style pizza served here has developed a cult following, and the drinks served here are among the most inventive on the BeltLine. A rustic Italian diner atmosphere is created inside the restaurant with red-leather banquettes and an open kitchen, while black walls, industrial light fixtures, and damaged mirrors provide an element of modernity to the space. If you're traveling the BeltLine—22-mile Atlanta's analog to New York's High Line—not it's difficult to find Nina & Rafi Restaurant & Bar. Aside from the fact that its patio seating extends all the way to the sidewalk, the fragrance of its pizzas draws in more customers than any marketing effort could hope to achieve.

Every element of the process is led by great components and a careful methodology, in which each component adds to the overall. Come together, eat well, and live without a care in the world. In a chic environment, this high-concept restaurant offers imaginative tasting menus and wine pairings that are sure to wow. If you ask any Atlanta foodie about the city's most talked-about eateries, you're sure to hear a lot about Lazy Betty. The groundswell began a year before the restaurant's February 2019 grand opening in Candler Park, Georgia. A series of pop-ups, hosted by chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips (Hsu was raised in Atlanta, and both were educated at Le Bernardin in New York City), helped them refine their menu, which rapidly sold out. The momentum continued to build when Hsu, an Atlanta native, appeared on Netflix's The Final Table, where he impressed viewers with his ability to maintain his cool under pressure. Thus, it came as no surprise when Lazy Betty and its tasting menu eventually opened their doors to the public and became an instant hit. The restaurant, which is jokingly named after Hsu's mother, Betty, who was known for being a tireless worker who could be described as anything but lazy, also draws on the talents of Hsu's siblings and business partners, Howard Hsu and Anita Hsu, who assist in the management of the industrial-chic restaurant.

    Food Terminal

5000 Buford Hwy NE, Chamblee, GA 30341, USA

At age 15, Amy began her culinary path selling street-style noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia. Together with Howie, the duo came to the United States to pursue the American dream as entrepreneurs. Howie and Amy spent decades exploring culinary achievements, creating brands such as Top Spice and Sweet Hut. Even after years of business accomplishments, the real satisfaction for them is not the success of the restaurants and bakeries, but the appreciation people express after tasting their food. Inspired by the chefs’ personal cultural background, Food Terminal’s concept reflects Malaysia’s diverse culinary cuisine. Malaysian food draws influence from India, Guang Zhou, Hokkien, Teochew, and Hakka provinces due to the early 1900’s migration for tin and railroad labor demand. As such, Food Terminal’s menu features a high variety of Asian street foods with heavy emphasis on Malaysian cuisine. Food Terminal’s mission is to bring the most authentic Asian-style street taste and experience to Buford Highway.

The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

48 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA
    • Spaces for 550 Guests

The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception stands as Atlanta's most historic church, originally built in 1848 to serve workers constructing the railroad that gave the city its name. One of the only original structures to survive the burning of Atlanta during the Civil War — spared after a direct appeal to General Sherman — the Shrine is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to welcome couples from across the country and around the world to celebrate their marriages within its walls. The sanctuary is a dramatic setting for wedding ceremonies. A long center aisle anchors the processional, while soaring ceilings adorned with hand-painted artwork, classic marble altars, and stained glass windows that catch the sunlight create an atmosphere few Atlanta venues can match. The venue's magnificent pipe organ, performed by the in-house Music Minister, sets the tone for the liturgy. The standard wedding package includes use of the building, on-site coordinators for the rehearsal and wedding day, the organist, facility maintenance, and clergy honorarium. Secure parking is available in the nearby parking deck on MLK Jr. Drive. The Shrine is situated in the heart of downtown Atlanta, convenient to I-75/I-85 and I-20, with reception venues within minutes.

    Chai Pani

406 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030, USA
    • Spaces for 50-100 Guests
    • 1 Restaurant

Chai Pani is a Hindi phrase that translates as "tea with water." The phrase "a little something" refers to going out for a cup of tea, a nice nibble, a snack, or "a little something." It means inventive, exciting, inexpensive, and delectable Indian cuisine in Downtown Asheville (and now in Downtown Decatur, as well as other locations). Even the term "mindblasting" comes to mind when we think about it. Some of the greatest cuisine in any country can be found on the streets, and Chai Pani is home to chaat, which are crunchy, spicy, sweet, sour, and brilliantly colored Indian street snacks with a variety of flavors. For the simple reason that there is nothing more soothing and delectable in any culture than a home-cooked dinner, Chai Pani also offers thalis, which are traditional Indian family meals that showcase the country's incredible culinary diversity. The New York Times praised our "fresh, cilantro-strewn twists on Indian street cuisine," GQ Magazine praised our "Indian street food with a twang," and New York Magazine hailed us as "a star in downtown's eating scene." We also received positive reviews from other publications. According to the Huffington Post, we were one of the "Top 10 Cheap Eats in the United States," and even Fox News referred to us as "the hit of their Asheville trip." (We're simply relieved that we were able to get them all to agree on anything)! So, now that we've made it all the way from Bombay to Buncombe, let's get out on the sidewalk and into the street — Indian Street Food, to be precise. (I couldn't help myself!) From Bombay to Buncombe, and from Asheville to Atlanta, Chai Pani has brought our passion for food, culinary experience, and storytelling to the Southeastern United States and Canada. The day we opened the doors of CHAI PANI ASHEVILLE in 2009 was a monument to our determination, love, and friendship with one another. By midday, we had run out of food. Whatever happened after that is history...
