Ideal Glass Studios is an artist-run film & TV production studio, founded in 2004 by native New Yorker, actor, and artist, Willard Morgan. The original East Village space, was transformed from a 1950’s glazier’s workshop into an independent gallery space and art collective. It was run by a small team of creatives dedicated to fostering a collaborative creative community, and featured rotating mural walls, art exhibitions, film screenings and multidisciplinary performances. In 2017, Morgan opened The Atrium and The Mansion in NYC’s West Village. Here, high-profile film, TV, music, fashion, and art vanguards gather regularly to collaborate. The original space’s DIY vibe lives on in its caring and eccentric team, encouraging creators to present their ideas clearly and express their vision freely. The structure, which dates from 1916, was previously a classic vehicle restoration shop. We offer a range of versatile spaces to host the perfect party! Our flagship Gowanus location features a spacious indoor main bar area with swooping arches, wooden columns, marble banquettes, and an industrial aesthetic. The main bar leads out into our 3,200 square foot backyard adorned with ivy walls, hornbeam apple trees, and a large ornamental hop trellis. For a more intimate setting or in addition to our main space, Tiny Montgomery, upstairs, includes a private bar, two private restrooms, and full sound and A/V capabilities. Our Greenpoint location offers abundant natural light, stained-glass windows, a private wrap-around bar, and a full sound and A/V system. The sleek, industrial chic Gallery entrance, which is perfect for cocktail hours, blends modernism with the ornate, art deco elements of the main Ballroom. Built in 1904 with an addition in 1912, The Prince George Hotel was a key fixture in the vibrant Madison Square neighborhood. The hotel was designed by architect Howard Greenley in the Beaux Arts style, and had many classical and Neo-Renaissance flourishes. In 1996, Breaking Ground acquired The Prince George Hotel, and with the help of government agencies and corporate partners, transformed the building into permanent supportive housing for homeless and low-income single adults. In 2015, the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan's now Flatiron district, underwent a major renovation, modernizing the historic space while maintaining its original features. In addition to having a beautiful event, clients are supporting a great cause.
