  The Student Union at Hubbard Hall serves as the hub of student and campus activities at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. Housed in one of the busiest buildings on campus, the facility includes 25 meeting rooms, the 295-seat Bridges Auditorium, and two large ballrooms suited to receptions, banquets, and conferences of varying scale. The Southwest Ballroom is the building's largest event space, seating up to 640 guests banquet-style or accommodating up to 1,000 in a theater configuration, and can also be divided into Southwest Ballroom A and Southwest Ballroom B for smaller gatherings.   Little Chapel in-the-Woods You are entering a tradition as you go into the Little Chapel in the Woods. The chapel, on the outskirts of Texas Women's University, is a hidden sanctuary that has hosted weddings since September 1939, a few months before Eleanor Roosevelt's dedication. The exquisite internal stain glass windows complement the natural splendor that surrounds the Little Chapel. On saw-pierced and riveted brass lighting, and woodwork completed in beech, hand carved woodwork on the pews, the Little Chapel in-the-Woods' rich symbolism delicately conveys "Woman Ministering to Human Needs." Architect O'Neil Ford designed the Chapel, which is 90 feet long and 24 feet broad. During the Great Depression, it was built as a project of the National Youth Administration and dedicated by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. It has withstood a century of tornadoes, fires, and other natural calamities to become one of the most well-known wedding venues in the North Dallas community. A complete renovation of the facility was carried out in 1998, and a partial renovation was carried out in 2011. Just a few blocks south of the old town center and the magnificently renovated county courthouse, you'll find this stunning residence in McKinney's historic area. Behind the main home is a big deck that overlooks the rear yard and a wedding gazebo that was expressly created for the occasion. Brides and bridesmaids can get ready for their special moments in the bridal cottage, which is located at the southern end of the backyard on the south side. This 2,500 square foot ballroom, which has been restored to its 19th-century beauty, was home to McKinney's first Opera House from 1885 to 1923. The Grand Ballroom is an excellent choice for your reception and can also serve as a setting for your wedding ceremony. Meetings Three private dining rooms total 4,100 square feet of meeting and event space on the property. Rick's Chophouse provides onsite food and full-service event personnel for all events. With floor to ceiling mahogany wood walls, climate controlled wine shelves, a private restroom, a private bar, and six commissioned paintings reflecting McKinney's heritage, Rick's 110 offers solitude and luxury. Wine Room Our international wine list is housed in floor-to-ceiling wood racks in the Wine Room. This private space can accommodate up to 12 people for a conference or up to 34 people for a seated supper and is also a working wine room.
