Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and The Music Box are all within walking distance. Families, wedding parties, company retreats, and other large groups will find it to be an excellent choice. On-site weddings and wedding-related events are hosted by the Mazant Hotel. We regularly host smaller (less than 50 people) gatherings throughout the year, and we also accept requests for a small number of larger (up to 200 guests) gatherings on a limited basis on an as-available basis basis. The cost of all weekend events is a three-night minimum buyout of the entire property (approximately $6,500), plus an additional fee based on the number of guests and type of event, which can range between $500 and $7,500 depending on the event. During your stay, you will have exclusive use of the main house and grounds, and the fee will cover standard cleaning, taxes, and service fees - as well as vendor load in and load out, as well as use of our Bose professional-grade sound system. Equipment rental, catering, chairs and tables (beyond what is already on the premises for resident guests), and other similar expenses are not included. As a result, we require that all guests hosting events on our property purchase event liability insurance as well as contract with a security vendor who has been approved by us (see below for more details). Please review our policies before making a reservation. In the center of a triple lot, the house has a corner yard (under an oak tree) to one side and a private, fenced yard to the other. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The two yards are linked together by a central hallway that runs through the center of the house and connects them. Some groups choose to hold part of the event (such as the ceremony) in one yard and the other part of the event (such as the reception) in another yard, but depending on the size of your group, you may be able to hold both the reception and the ceremony in the same location. There is a large gate in the non-cottage yard that can be opened to provide easy access for a food truck.

    • Spaces for 75-200 Guests

Le Musée, the Greek Revival residence at 2336 Esplanade Avenue, and its vicinity, centered in the area known as upper Treme, were originally part of the plantation of Domingo Fleitas. Fleitas, a Spanish colonial who had fought with Galvez in the American Revolution, had grandchildren born free people of color. This stretch of Esplanade Avenue, mid-way between the Mississippi River and Bayou St. John, was not developed until the 1850s when Benjamin Rodriguez, a Jewish speculator who also owned the Esplanade omnibus, began acquiring lots in the area. Rodriguez first built his home at 2306 Esplanade, where the Musson family later lived for a period of time and their cousin Edgar Degas, the acclaimed French artist, visited. In 1859, Rodriguez contracted with Joseph Jouet, the same builder who constructed the famed French Hospital, to build the house at 2336. Though this residence was never owned by persons of color until its present ones, because of their dominance in the building trades, it can be assumed that they participated in the construction. Esplanade Avenue has always been noted for its gracious homes and abundant greenery. Little known is that free people of color owned numerous properties along the avenue and its intersecting streets in the antebellum period

    Capital Nola

    New Orleans, LA, USA

The Canal Bank & Trust Building, which can be found at 210 Baronne Street, was designed by the well-known New Orleans architect Emile Weil. Built in 1927, Weil adorned the exterior of the building with limestone statues and lined the corridors with mahogany trim, Tennessee marble, travertine floors, and brass embroidery. In addition, he used travertine floors. Before it was converted into apartments, this structure was home to a variety of professional offices as well as one of the largest banks in the South for almost 90 years. The interior of the bank lobby was designed to convey an air of majesty and scale that is unequaled by any other location in the city. The original bank lobby is now known as the Capital on Baronne and has been renovated recently. The irreplaceable plasterwork and the hand-carved marble columns are just two examples of the many details that have been preserved. The Capital on Baronne is New Orleans' most elegant ballroom, making it the ideal location for wedding receptions as well as corporate events.
