Memory Garden at Monterey State Historic Park is a historic outdoor event venue located at 20 Custom House Plaza in the heart of Old Monterey, California. Designed by Frederick Law Olmstead Jr. in 1927 and enclosed by an eight-foot adobe wall, the garden centers on a 15-foot diameter fountain surrounded by four venerable Southern Magnolia trees that provide natural shade throughout the year. The garden accommodates up to 300 guests for luncheons and dinner receptions with tables and chairs, and up to 150 guests for wedding ceremonies and receptions that include tables, chairs, heaters, and props. Events are available during daylight and evening hours year-round, with music permitted until 9 p.m. The space features electrical outlets and lighting, an accessible unisex restroom on-site, a historic flower garden, an arbor, and a 5-by-16-foot barbecue available for cooking. Catering is handled through preferred vendors, and alcohol service is permitted with a certified server. The venue is managed by California State Parks and is not available on holidays or holiday weekends.

Since 1849, the region presently known as Eden Rift has been under vine. These limestone- and dolomite-rich soils have passed through the hands of fearless pioneers with their own bold viticultural obsessions for well over a century. Walter Burley Griffin, a fan of the Prairie School and a close associate of Frank Lloyd Wright, designed the Dickinson House. It is a true representation of Prairie School architecture from the early twentieth century, having been built in 1906. The Prairie School was an anti-mass-production, anti-assembly-line style that pushed for "organic architecture," the idea that a structure should appear to have grown organically from the land on which it was built. Moreover, the Prairie School was conceived as a uniquely North American architectural style. In order to achieve this, the Prairie School builders used decoration sparingly. With its basic, prominent horizontal lines, inconspicuous roof, and overhanging eaves, the Dickinson House exemplifies this. It appears to yield to the natural world around it.

We are also a working world-class equestrian training facility where some of the country's best hunter and jumper horses reside. Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros, a region located on the southern tip of Napa Valley. In the late 1880s, a Missouri-born settler named Boon Fly planted grapes and fruit trees on the property. An Italian winemaker named Johnny Garetto bought the land in 1927 and farmed it until 1961, when he sold to Beringer. After 20 years as a storage facility, the dilapidated winery buildings were purchased by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, along with 30 acres of the surrounding land. The Copelands set to work revitalizing the property with new vineyards, winery improvements, and a renewed sense of purpose. Redwood from early storage tanks was recycled and repurposed into the new facade for the winery and tasting room buildings. John Garetto’s original sign from the 1930’s was found patching a hole in the roof. It now holds a place of honor in Bouchaine’s Conference Room. Throughout the years, the Copelands continued to update the property, expanding the vineyards to 100 acres, and invested their time and passion into building a sustainable, family-owned estate. Under the Copelands’ leadership, Bouchaine has grown from a pair of ramshackle buildings into a thriving vineyard estate. With imagination and passion, Gerret and Tatiana have fashioned wines and a wine country experience for visitors that is a distillation of their remarkable lives, at home in Delaware and in Napa Valley. The shallow clay loam soils of Bouchaine are perfectly suited for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These soils force the vines to dig deep for water, promoting depth and concentration as the roots struggle to penetrate the ribbons of obsidian, quartz, clay and volcanic deposits. Of Bouchaine’s 87 planted acres, 31 are dedicated to Chardonnay, 46 to Pinot Noir, with the remaining 10 devoted to Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Syrah. Vineyard blocks are planted with different sun exposures and pruning techniques based on topography, to optimize air circulation and ripening. Bouchaine's high-touch, precision viticulture is managed by an all-female vineyard crew that performs every aspect of the growing process entirely by hand. That includes pruning, positioning shoots, thinning clusters and applying compost, which provides a natural source of rich nutrients for the soil. There is always something fun going on at Bouchaine. Our passion for discovery doesn’t end with wine. From falconry demonstrations to cooking classes, and even wine and music pairings with The Philadelphia Orchestra, we offer an experience for everyone.

Corral de Tierra Country Club is a private, member-owned country club set in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, tucked between the Monterey Peninsula and Salinas Valley. With more than 60 years of history, the club occupies a farmhouse-style clubhouse — an old stone main building flanked by board-and-batten structures — and accommodates private events and parties for members and their guests. The club sits within what it describes as the sunniest, most comfortable year-round microclimate of any club in the region, giving outdoor functions a reliable advantage across all four seasons. The 18-hole championship course was designed by Bob E. Baldock and stretches nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees at par 72; it holds designation as a U.S. Open qualifier course.
