Established in 1859 by William and Mary Menger on Alamo Plaza, the Menger Hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975. The hotel began as a two-story, fifty-room property built to house guests of Menger's adjoining brewery, and grew through a series of additions, including the 1881 acquisition by Major J.H. Kampmann, who added new wings and the hotel's famed cherry-wood bar, modeled after the taproom of London's House of Lords Club. That bar, now known as the Menger Bar, is where Theodore Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders, and it remains a centerpiece of the hotel's Victorian-era lobby, filled with museum-quality artifacts and Renaissance-revival detailing from a 1909 renovation. Just off the lobby, the Spanish courtyard garden offers palm trees, blooming azaleas, and a three-tiered fountain, alongside a heated pool described as the largest in San Antonio. The LDR is a Texas-themed reception and banquet venue at the Henry B. González Convention Center, set on the banks of San Antonio's River Walk. Debuted in 2010, the space is filled with fine Western art and rich furnishings that draw on the maverick history and rustic elegance of the Texas landscape, including antler chandeliers, custom-made furnishings, and natural textures of stone, wood, and leather. Flexible seating areas give the room the feel of a grand Texas ranch house living room. The LDR flows directly out onto a river patio, transforming into an al fresco setting for private groups and events, and accommodates 150 to 500 guests. For larger receptions, the venue connects to The Grotto, a River Walk space beneath Bridge Hall with trees, foliage, and a waterfall, which can host up to 2,500 guests directly along the river. Catering is handled exclusively by The RK Group, the convention center's in-house culinary team.

Gruene Estate sits on 17 acres in the historic town of Gruene, Texas, between San Antonio and Austin, on land the Gruene family first settled in 1846. Ernst and Antoinette Gruene built a home and barn on the property, and their sons went on to found the Thornhill Steam Mills that grew into the town of Gruene itself. Now owned by Dr. Daniel and Anna Lisa Tamez, the estate has been restored to its original 10-acre core and continues its family history of hosting the community. At the heart of the property is the original open-air chapel, an intimate space with a stained-glass window backdrop, bench seating, and a sound system with lapel microphone. Nearby, the Modern Farmhouse Covered Pavilion pairs handmade farm tables and chairs with chandeliers and string lighting, a bar and cocktail area, a concert stage with outlets for a DJ or band, and a fire pit overlooking the grounds. Together the spaces seat up to 225 guests, suiting everything from an intimate chapel ceremony to a large reception. Rental packages include a venue concierge and staff, a day-of coordinator, complimentary decor options, and use of the property's 17 acres, and the estate also offers onsite overnight accommodations in its Main House and Cottage for the wedding party.

Housed in the former Lone Star Brewery on the San Antonio River, the San Antonio Museum of Art occupies a complex built between 1895 and 1904, its twin towers and crenellated parapets still marking the site on Jones Avenue. The brewery closed during Prohibition and later served as a cotton mill, ice factory, and auto repair shop before falling into disrepair; museum director Jack McGregor rediscovered the building in 1971, and philanthropist Nancy Brown Negley helped lead the effort to convert it. Following a $7.2 million renovation by Cambridge Seven Associates, the museum opened to the public in 1981. Kemah Gardens is a wedding and event venue set on four private, gated acres of pines just two miles from the Kemah Boardwalk and roughly 30 miles from both Houston and Galveston. The property centers on a lake with an illuminated fountain and a vintage arbor, where ceremonies take place as the sun sets over the water; guests visiting Kemah Gardens have also spotted blue herons, egrets, red hawks, mallards, and turtles from the lake. The venue's climate-controlled pavilion accommodates up to 150 guests, with a covered patio adding room for 60 to 70 more. Buffalo Gap Historic Village, home of the Taylor County History Center, gathers more than a dozen original frontier buildings around the county's first courthouse in Buffalo Gap, Texas, just south of Abilene. The buildings date from roughly 1875 to 1925 and include the Knight-Sayles log cabin, a train depot, a bank, a schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, and other structures relocated from around the county. For events, the 1902 Buffalo Gap Chapel offers hardwood floors and stained glass windows for small weddings or funerals, with a private bride's room in the adjacent Wagon Barn. The Historic Taylor County Courthouse and the entire Village can also be rented, and the on-site Reddell Guest House provides overnight accommodations for wedding parties.
