The Brown Estate is a 20,000-square-foot, 14-room mansion set on 88 acres of pine and azalea grounds in Orange, Texas, complete with a lake, footbridges, and two outdoor fountains. Designed by Francis Warfield & Associates after the 1790s Linden of Natchez, the home was built for the Brown family between 1954 and 1956 and is now part of Lamar State College Orange. The estate's rooms include a glass-enclosed Solarium, formal dining rooms, a library, and conference rooms, together accommodating gatherings from small meetings up to a full-venue capacity of 300 guests. It hosts weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, banquets, and holiday events, with catering and event packages available. Plaza Juarez is a tree-shaded outdoor plaza in La Villita, San Antonio's first neighborhood and a historic arts village on the south bank of the San Antonio River. The village traces its origins to informal 18th-century settlements near Mission San Antonio de Valero and was restored beginning in 1939 under an ordinance dedicated to promoting Pan-American unity, giving the surrounding streets their present-day character of preserved adobe and limestone buildings, artisan shops, and courtyards. A medium-size venue, Plaza Juarez accommodates up to 500 guests for a reception or 300 for a seated dinner. The Queen Anne Victorian home that was built in 1899 and is known as the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House is considered to be the most preserved of its kind in the region. This exquisite Victorian masterpiece of a little over 5,000 square feet was constructed by English architect Howard Messer for Galveston widow Mrs. George Ball (Sarah) and her son Frank in 1899. The home was built high on a hill overlooking the Trinity River. At a time when the typical cost of a dwelling was between $2,000 and $4,000, the construction of the house came to $38,000. The house has had just three different families live in it over its entire existence, and it has seen very few changes since it was first built. There are towers, gables, copper finials, a slate tile roof, and a porch made of red sandstone and marble on the late Victorian facade. The elegant interior has its original wood mantles, cornices, paneling, coffered ceilings, and parquet flooring. The McFarland House was declared as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1979, as well as Fort Worth's second Historic and Cultural Landmark in 1980. In 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1980, it was certified as such by the state of Texas.

Benbrook Stables is one of North Texas' best horse boarding facilities. We exclusively provide high-quality grains and hays to our animals. Whole oats, barley, corn, and oil make up our grain. Our hay comes from irrigated farms in Texas and is of the highest quality.
