Dj Brian Hartbeat

When he was only eight years old, a young boy living in a sleepy community south of Seattle hosted his very first disco party for his friends, complete with a strobe light and "mocktails" from Radio Shack. His defining moment took place in the 1980s when he was performing at a breakdance show. At that show, he saw the legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash perform his mix/scratch routine, which immediately sparked a lifelong passion that is still burning bright in the present day. After receiving his diploma from Broadcasting School, Brian Hartbeat began working as a trainee for the record label "Nastymix Records," which was founded by Sir Mix A-lot. After only 5 years, he had worked his way up to the position of Director of Artist Relations and Director of the National Record Pool. His career shifted, and he eventually became a producer and a mixshow radio host on a major Top 40 station in Seattle. Over the course of the following decade, he would go on to produce multiple special radio remixes in addition to working as a commercial and audio element producer. After nearly a decade working in the field of radio broadcasting, Brian made the decision that it was finally time to construct his ideal recording studio for himself. This studio would consist of the most cutting-edge modern software along with some of the best drum machines, keyboards, and samplers from the golden age of music production. The studio was finished in 2002, and it has remained the primary location where he produces remixes for artists all over the world in addition to a number of his own original electronic dance music songs. Recently, Brian has started hosting and producing his very own weekly mixshow podcast, which has already achieved some really strong chart positions on the Mixcloud app. Over the course of the past few years, Brian has collaborated with a number of national television shows and taken on the role of official studio audience DJ for those shows. These shows include "(the 206)," "Update Late NW," and "Biz Kid$," which won an Emmy award. In addition, Brian has been in charge of supplying the live soundtrack for The Lady 12 Apparel Fashion Show as well as their exclusive VIP after party for the past three years. His DJ schedule is always packed with a wide range of special events, such as pool parties, nightclub theme nights, sporting events, street parties, and car shows, in addition to a number of different charitable events. Because Brian has been willing to learn from his experiences and seize the opportunities that have presented themselves to him, he has been given the chance to spend the rest of his life doing what he enjoys most: creating, sharing, and performing music. His desire to travel all over the world and share what he has learned and experienced is fueled by his emphasis on having meaningful conversations and getting to know people on a personal level. According to Mr. Hartbeat, there is one thing that can be said with absolute certainty: "No matter where I go, I will never forget where I came from."
