About Erin McDonald Co

Founded in 2010

With over 30 years experience designing events and interiors, let's create something uniquely yours. We have had the pleasure to design events throughout the United States as well as globally in locales such as Italy, France and Mexico. Erin has had the luxury of designing events for three presidents, several celebrities and thousands of happy clients. As the former VP for the venerable HMR Designs in Chicago, Erin is humbled by what flowers have afforded him to do and to see. Erins craft for creating environments have expanded his design repertoire' to include interior design for commercial and residential properties. Erins skills have placed him on the stage at event symposiums such as The SpecialEvent, CaterSource, and Bizbash. He is considered one of Chicago's top taste makers and known around the world as one of the industry's leaders. In 2019 he opened up an office in Upstate, Rochester New York, his hometown. He loves the Finger Lakes region and would love nothing more than to celebrate with you and your families. He has taught for The Event Leadership Institute for several years and loves nothing more than to mentor young minds getting into to the world of design. With office in both Illinois and New York we are able to handle your event nationally should it arise. Our teams, just this year in 2023, designed events in Boston, Vermont, Florida, Chicago and all over the FLX region in Upstate NY

What services do you offer?
We are a full event design and decor company with capabilities in fresh floral, linen, lighting, drapery, accessories, and furniture.  We come fully loaded which means you dont have to do anything like purchase your own candles or props, we have an extensive inventory.
What is your pricing?
Our events are all custom to each client but we are competitive with our pricing and work with all sorts of budgets and designs so don’t hesitate to ask!
How would past clients describe working with you?
Most clients would tell you that I am super funny and make the process a whole lot better with a lighter approach to your event. I have been designing for more than 30 plus years and know how to create the right event within your budget.
What venues have you worked at before?
We have worked in and around the Chicago area for many years and there are not many venues that we haven’t designed in. We are also well versed with venues around the Chicagoland area.
What form of communication do you prefer?
We like to start off with a zoom meeting or in person and then communicate through email, phone and texting. In this day and age we like to make ourselves available to our clients so it is an easy, quick system.
