About Havard Events and Design

Throughout my life the spirit of entrepreneurship has pulled me in many directions. Havard Events is the culmination of my passion for design and hospitality, my ability to lead and manage projects to successful outcomes and my desire to help people create beautiful, memorable events. My journey to event planner began at a young age developing a passion for design, color, fashion and eventually a degree in fashion design and merchandising. Followed by a first job with one the largest US manufacturers of textiles and to positions with Cover Girl Cosmetics and L’Oreal Paris. Later, a growing interest in the field of Event planning and management led me to one of the DC Area’s top catering companies. There I planned and produced weddings, corporate gala’s, meetings and social events. I worked in many of DC’s fine event venues and developed lasting relationships with the best of the best area vendors.

What event planning services do you offer?
We plan all types of social events including but not limited to weddings, rehearsal dinners/welcome parties, after parties, engagement parties, wedding and baby showers.
Do you offer day-of wedding coordination?
We offer "day of wedding coordination". Our service begins 90 days before the wedding when we begin gathering your details and contracts to prepare.
Will you arrange and manage meetings with my other vendors?
With our full planning service we arrange and attend all meetings with vendors and your venue.
How many people from your team will be on-site during my event?
We always have a minimum of 2 team members at every wedding, We add team members based on the day of logistics.
How many years have you been in business?
As of Spring 2025 we have been in business 11 years.
