Love is a Big Deal

Good to see you! We are a husband-and-wife photography team based in Nashville, Tennessee, and our names are Josh + Meg Souder. We are two people who met in the music industry, fell in love, and then decided to make a career in photography together. Our personalities can be described as creative, silly, driven, and passionate. The tale of how we did in fact become acquainted is pretty wild, but we'll have to save that for another time... However, it does involve some sort of reality show. haha! People frequently ask us if either of us have any formal training in photography, and our response is always the same: In 2008, we taught ourselves how to use the fancy cameras that we had purchased for ourselves on Ebay and then taught ourselves how to use them using YouTube.... Fast forward ten years: we've shot hundreds of weddings all over the world, our work has been featured in almost every wedding publication and blog out there, we've written a field guide for photographers that has become the best-selling photography book in the world, and we've been fortunate enough to speak and teach at conferences and workshops all over the country. There's no way that the technical training we received on YouTube was responsible for getting us here... We attribute all of our success to the fact that we are passionate about the subject matter, which includes both the individuals and the couples whose love stories we photograph.
