Manouche Urbain

Manouche Urbain is a Boston-based acoustic jazz band influenced by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli's gypsy swing music. Two guitars, a violin, and an upright bass with timely vocals make up this "hot" quartet. They play all throughout New England, creating the atmosphere of a charming Parisian café or a swanky speakeasy for any special occasion. Manouche Urbain's music transports the listener to a smoky hot club in the 1930s, with spicy renditions of beloved jazz standards, gypsy jazz favorites, and Django originals. A swinging gypsy jazz mood is offered up with our house mix, which is combined with a few choice Latin jazz classics. The beautiful swing of Manouche Urbain energises visitors at weddings, cocktail hours, private gatherings, and late soir ées.
