Verde Flowers is a wedding and event design firm owned and operated by Michael Gonzalez and Vanessa Polanco, who are married. Because of their innovative designs and meticulous attention to detail, they have graced events around the New York metropolitan region and the Hudson Valley since 2005. Michael has more than 20 years of expertise in flower design and event décor, and he is an exceptionally talented artist. Prior to joining Verde Flowers, Michael worked for a number of prominent floral design firms in Manhattan, where he gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients and experimenting with a variety of methods. Vanessa will bring your vision to life. With a background in musical theater and hospitality, she is well-suited to her current position, which requires her to strike a delicate balance between art and business. Vanessa is aware of the need of sticking to a budget, meeting deadlines, and achieving certain goals. This cultural center, located in the Mott Haven district of the South Bronx, is a continual source of creative inspiration as well as a source of personal pride for those who visit. Following the development of the neighborhood and its transformation into the best version of itself mirrors the development of Verde's business - the voice, the sense of belonging to a larger community, humility, and sincerity are all important aspects of our work.
