  The Surrey House is a big historic residence that was constructed around 1910. It has withstood a century of tornadoes, fires, and other natural calamities to become one of the most well-known wedding venues in the North Dallas community. A complete renovation of the facility was carried out in 1998, and a partial renovation was carried out in 2011. Just a few blocks south of the old town center and the magnificently renovated county courthouse, you'll find this stunning residence in McKinney's historic area. Behind the main home is a big deck that overlooks the rear yard and a wedding gazebo that was expressly created for the occasion. Brides and bridesmaids can get ready for their special moments in the bridal cottage, which is located at the southern end of the backyard on the south side.   Inspired by a trip to Tuscany, The Vineyard at Florence began as a working vineyard on the gently sloped hills of Florence, Texas, and grew into a boutique hotel and resort with a winery, restaurant, day spa, and private event spaces. Its main building, Villa Firenze, was originally built in New York State around 1850 using timber-frame construction, then carefully transported to the property and restored; the surrounding buildings were designed in the same old Italian style, with tile roofs and warm exterior tones. The resort produces its own wines on-site, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Rodeo Uncorked San Antonio International Wine Competition from 2021 through 2024.   When Katy and Justin took over a portion of their family business and transformed the event rental company into Sweet Sunday Events in 2009, they were involved in the Austin wedding industry for the first time. Sweet Sunday Event Rentals and Resources swiftly established itself as a top supplier for wedding planning, floral design, and event rentals in Central Texas. As a full-service design firm, Katy and Justin received press coverage in a variety of national and regional publications, including Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, The Knot, and a plethora of others. As the company expanded, Katy went to courses taught by some of the top designers in the nation and started her own floral design company, Without Wax, Katy. Through it, Katy gained widespread acclaim as a top designer, not just in Austin and Central Texas but also across the entire State, planning weddings for brides and grooms there as well. However, Katy and Justin always had bigger plans in mind. They wanted to build the wedding site they had looked for but couldn't locate when they first got married years earlier. A contemporary, industrial warehouse atmosphere that wasn't present at the time in Austin or Central Texas. A place you could enter where the architecture and surroundings did the most of the job for you. Something distinctively industrial, yet soft, delicate, and romantic enough to provide an intimate setting for a wedding. As luck would have it, Justin happened to pass a building with a for sale by owner sign nailed into the lawn one day when he was out making an event delivery to the nearby university in Georgetown, Southwestern. He thought it was cool because it was close to the famous Square and immediately called Katy, saying, "You might think I'm crazy but..." The Union on Eighth, the region's first industrial arena, was thereafter established. Nine years later, Katy and Justin were prepared to bring new life to another historic property. The Wish Well House was introduced in August 2021, and the rest is history.
