Built to serve Civil War sailors, the Old Naval Hospital eventually became a Hospital Corps training school, then an old solider’s home, and then office space for the D.C. government. By the early 2000's, the facility was neglected and ultimately abandoned. In 2002, community members stepped up to save the site, forming the Old Naval Hospital Foundation. Today, Hill Center is home to lectures, culinary and cultural events, private events, and outstanding artwork. Our facility is in Beltsville, MD and can accommodate up to 70 guests. The venue has a kitchenette containing a refrigerator/freezer, a chest freezer, 10 tray food warmer, sink and full size ice machine. There are separate restrooms for men and women and the walls are lined with White draping.
