The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC), which was founded in 1917, is the beating heart of San Francisco's Italian population. We are a vibrant fraternal organization that has catered Italian (and non-Italians) weddings, parties, cultural, and community-based events for centuries. We now have over 650 members and are still growing. A member-only bar and gym are available, as well as a ballroom and balcony area for outdoor events such as weddings, business events/meetings, parties, and more. We're thrilled to welcome you to our newly refurbished Ballroom, which has upgraded sound and lighting systems, mahogany paneling and fabric sound boards, and resurfaced wooden floors. Barebottle Brewing Co. is a craft brewery founded in 2016 and rooted in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood, where its flagship production brewery and taproom occupy a spacious warehouse at 1525 Cortland Ave. The brewery has since expanded across the Bay Area with additional taprooms in Santa Clara, Menlo Park, Walnut Creek, and Salesforce Park in downtown San Francisco. The Bernal Heights location offers seven distinct reservable areas accommodating groups from 20 to 200 guests — from the intimate Parlor to a full taproom buyout. Rotating food truck partners provide catering options on-site, and outside pre-made food is welcome for events hosted at the flagship location. Barebottle takes a community-driven approach to brewing, drawing on local homebrewers and inviting guests to vote on beers before full production. The atmosphere is conducive to a variety of gatherings, ranging from boisterous after-work mixers to first dates and birthday parties. Seasonally changing drink and punch menus are masterfully designed by our professional bartenders. We collaborate to create a selection of innovative house cocktails and historically inspired punches-on-tap. Each of our house cocktails is made using components that aren't generally found in classic punches. 888 BANQUET & EVENT SPACE: China Live is an interactive culinary and cultural destination located at the entrance to San Francisco's Chinatown, offering a comprehensive look into Greater Chinese cuisine. Our goal is to demystify Chinese ingredients and cuisine while also educating guests about the country's rich history and cultural heritage. China Live can accommodate small gatherings of 10 individuals to large reception-style events with up to 825 people and many sensory experiences. MARKET RESTAURANT: Our first-floor restaurant offers a seasonal menu that changes daily and is prepared at eight specialized stations that combine traditional Chinese and Western culinary technology. A major dining space serves as the focal point, with handcrafted seats and tables made from reclaimed Chinese elm in China. These exhibition kitchens, which have plenty of bar seating, allow you to get a closer look at the skilled chefs at work. The wok station combines European and Chinese flair, with a state-of-the-art Hestan range on one side and an extensive custom-designed wok line by Joe Yick, a third-generation family business in San Francisco, on the other. The charcuterie station features a deep wood-fired oven, similar to a pizza oven in concept, but serving classic roast duck and chicken instead. DESIGN: A Chinese clay oven, similar to an Indian tandoor, is a three-foot tall receptacle resembling an enormous vase that sustains low heat over charcoal fire for an extended period of time, suitable for low and slow roasting pork. Dumplings, in particular, scream Chinese cuisine. This station, which serves as the restaurant's focal point, is equipped with enormous cast iron pans for cooking pot stickers and a variety of steamed and pan-fried dumplings. Finally, a dessert bar to quench your sweet desire.
