    • 1 Farm

Red Cedar Farm sits on Lofall Road in Poulsbo, Washington, a property Andrea and Gregg bought as a family retreat in 1987 and then, over the years, filled with more than a thousand trees, a pumpkin patch, a hardy kiwi orchard, and an antique shop built from Gregg's own collecting habit. Weddings came later: the farm began hosting events after 2009, inspired by a local venue, and held its first wedding in 2012. It still books no more than one event per day. The centerpiece is the Barn, a heated reception space converted from a former chicken house and carport that seats 150. Ceremonies move outdoors to the Arbor or, when the weather insists otherwise, under the Pergola. The bridal party dresses in a suite with its own building for bridesmaids; the groom gets a 130-year-old restored barn to himself. Guests circulate through the Terrace courtyard, warm up at the stone fire pit, or find their way to the Arcade, a room of more than fifteen vintage pinball machines dating to the 1950s through the early '70s. The grounds still function as a working farm, with goats and donkeys on hand for the Farm & Play Area, a catering kitchen, four ADA-accessible restrooms, and parking for 25 cars — anyone else takes the shuttle.

Gilbert Cellars Winery is a fifth-generation family winery in the Yakima Valley, set on a working vineyard with views of the Ahtanum Ridge, the Sunrise Vineyard, apple orchards, cattail-lined ponds, and rows of French lavender. The winery farms organically where microclimates allow and follows Washington State's Sustainable WA certification, taking a low-intervention approach to both the vineyard and the winemaking. Its tasting room welcomes daily visitors, while private event rentals draw on the same rural scenery for weddings and celebrations, and its Music in the Vines series brings live bands to the property throughout the summer alongside rotating food vendors. Run by the Gilbert family, the winery describes itself as a neighborhood wine garden built around community, hosting everything from weddings to casual weekend visits.

On Smokey Point Boulevard just off I-5 in Arlington, Washington, the Stilly Valley Center's main building was raised in the early 1970s by local seniors, volunteers, and donated labor after North Snohomish County residents organized the center in 1970 on a former motel site. That community-built hall now anchors the center's rental program, hosting wedding receptions, banquet dinners, anniversaries, and family reunions in the evenings and on weekends. The Main Hall is the center's largest rental space, holding up to 250 guests for dining and events when its side rooms are included, making it suited to receptions and banquets that call for a single large gathering space. Smaller rooms are also available for more intimate meetings and gatherings. A certificate of liability insurance is required for all rentals, and a banquet permit is needed for any event serving alcohol.

This remarkable location, with its iconic architecture and panoramic views of Mount Rainier, is a must-see for anybody visiting Seattle. The Museum, which is located on the Thea Foss Waterway in downtown Tacoma, provides a variety of indoor and outdoor areas, as well as exclusive access to the Museum's galleries, making it a great location for a memorable event. Featuring a 6,900-square-foot floor area, the Grand Hall is ideal for weddings, formal dinners, and modern art events. There is also adequate room for dance and musical entertainment. Gathering the Light, a spectacular glass triptych by Northwest artist Cappy Thompson depicting a legendary version of the glass-making world, has been put in the Grand Hall, providing an artistic background for your event. The Main, Mezzanine, and Rooftop Plazas all provide spectacular views of the metropolis, Thea Foss Waterway, and Mount Rainier. The Main Plaza is the most popular of the three. In the reflecting pool on the Main Plaza, close to the Museum's entrance, you can see Martin Blank's Fluent Steps installation, which is part of his Fluent Steps series. You and your guests will have no trouble moving between any of these places and the inside of the Museum, as well as the Chihuly Bridge of Glass, which is located nearby. The Hot Shop Amphitheater, which is a functioning glass workshop, is housed within the Museum's 90-foot-tall cone. It is the Museum's hallmark area and will elevate your event to a higher level by allowing your guests to witness artisans produce works of art from molten glass while they are there. The Hot Shop rental fee includes the services of a team of glassblowers for the length of the event. The Theater at the Museum is outfitted with a stage, Wi-Fi, and a huge projection screen for presentations. This venue has a large capacity and can accommodate a variety of presentations and gatherings.

Wild Ginger has occupied the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street in downtown Seattle, across from Benaroya Hall, since 2000, when founders Rick and Ann Yoder moved the restaurant from its original home below Pike Place Market into a building that once housed a vaudeville theatre. The space was designed by NBBJ, and its basement later became home to The Triple Door, the music and performance venue that opened in 2003. The kitchen draws on recipes gathered from Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, served family style so guests share dishes across the table, alongside a wine program the restaurant treats with the same care as its food menu. For private dining, the downtown location offers the Lion Room, Dragon Room, Mezzanine Lounge, Union St. Dining Room, and a set of four configurable Mezzanine Rooms that combine to seat up to 64 guests. Between these settings, Wild Ginger accommodates gatherings from an intimate dinner for five to a corporate reception for five hundred, making it a flexible choice for everything from small private dinners to large-scale celebrations.

Jenne Farm With Whidbey Island Weddings

538 Engle Rd, Coupeville, WA 98239, USA
    • Spaces for 120 Guests

Built in 1908 by Edward Jenne, a German immigrant and Coupeville resident, the Jenne Farm cluster took shape as a house, barn, summer kitchen, workshop, and granary, all raised from a single barge-load of wood. Jenne grazed sheep and worked some of the highest per-acre wheat yields of his era on the land. The farm later passed out of the family, and in 2000 new owners purchased the property with the goal of preserving it as a working farm; by December 2002, Jenne Farm had become part of Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve. Located one mile south of Coupeville and surrounded by 140 acres of crops, forest, and scrub, the property offers sweeping views of farmland, prairie, or water from every window and the wrap-around porch of the 1908 farmhouse. The grounds accommodate outdoor weddings and reunions for up to 125 guests, and the farmhouse itself — with four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, fireplace room, and parlor — is available for multi-night wedding weekend stays as well as shorter vacation getaways.

The surrounding park gives guests room to spread out: a wide grass commons, five picnic tables, two BBQ grills, a half-court basketball area, a playground, and a rose garden. The park stays open to the public every day, so the setting is shared rather than private. No alcohol is allowed on-site, and restrooms are across the street near the pier.

    • 1 Farm

Stilly Brook Farm was first settled in 1889 by a pioneer family. A Swedish barn builder built the current barn in the 1920s near to the ancient Stillagaumish River channel. It still has its original cedar timbers and cathedral ceiling, which could hold up to 25 tons of hay at one time. For nearly a century, the farm remained operating, largely with modest crops and milk cows. Richard and Beverly Emery decided to develop the farm into an event center in the year 2000, with the goal of hosting weddings, religious events, and family reunions. The bottom floor was cleaned up and turned into a reception hall, and the property was landscaped into lovely gardens. The present owners, David and Terri Lundquist, and their five kids, are expanding on what the Emerys envisioned when they transformed this lonely farm into a place for everyone to enjoy. When you walk in, you'll notice that Stilly Brook Farm has paid attention to every detail in this newly remodeled location.

    Wild Ginger Bellevue

11020 NE 6th St, Bellevue, WA 98004, USA
    • Spaces for 130 Guests

Wild Ginger Bellevue sits right on Bellevue Way NE, next door to the Bellevue Arts Museum and just across the street from Bellevue Square mall, in the Lincoln Square South stretch of downtown Bellevue. The restaurant moved into this address in 2017, a smaller footprint than its original Bellevue home at The Bravern, where it first opened in 2009 to mark parent restaurant Wild Ginger's 20th anniversary. Inside, SKB Architects designed the space to blend Asian influences with a more contemporary look, giving the room a casual but still dressed-up feel, with a main dining room, a bar, and private dining space set apart for events. The kitchen, led by Chef de Cuisine Milan Waduge, serves family-style dishes rooted in the cuisines of China and Southeast Asia, the same style Wild Ginger's founders picked up traveling through Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong back in the 1980s. The wine program has drawn recognition for how well it pairs with the menu, and bottles under $100 are half off on Sundays. Private dining and group meals are booked separately from the main dining room, so a party can be as small as an intimate dinner or as large as a bigger group reception.

Lakewold Gardens is a nonprofit public garden on the shores of Gravelly Lake in Lakewood, Washington, not a purpose-built banquet hall. The 10-acre estate dates to the early 20th century, and its design took shape over decades under Corydon and Eulalie Wagner, who owned the property from 1938 and brought in landscape architect Thomas Church, who returned regularly after his first Pacific Northwest visit in 1958 to refine the grounds. In 1987, Eulalie Wagner donated the estate to a new nonprofit, and Lakewold opened to the public as a garden in 1989. That history shapes how events work here. Rather than booking back-to-back weddings, Lakewold reserves a limited number each year, giving couples exclusive use of the Wagner House and surrounding gardens instead of a single interior room. Ceremonies and receptions can host up to 150 guests among century-old trees and garden rooms shaped across nearly a century of horticultural stewardship, while smaller micro-weddings and elopements are available for couples who want a quieter version of the same setting, including the Tea House gazebo and the wisteria-covered veranda. The same Wagner House rooms — an Upper Conference Room, Living Room/Dining Room, Veranda, and Atrium — are also available to rent for birthday parties, showers, corporate retreats, and other private gatherings, each with a view out into the garden.
