  Swantown Inn is an 1887 Queen Anne/Eastlake Victorian Mansion in Olympia, Washington. It's listed on both the city and state historical registers.   Built in 1906 as a three-story cedar log hunting lodge, Mineral Lake Lodge sits on 3-1/2 acres along Mineral Lake, with 215 feet of private waterfront on what locals call one of the best trout fishing lakes in Washington State. The lodge's wrap-around veranda frames one of the most complete views of Mount Rainier in the Nisqually River Valley, and a private dock along the shoreline accommodates boats or an evening spent fishing. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974, the lodge has passed through more than a century of uses — from a wilderness retreat for Seattle's early-1900s elite to a political and business retreat under the West Fork Logging Company — before opening as a bed-and-breakfast in 2004.   Brown Family Homestead is a rustic, 15-acre outdoor wedding venue on the north side of Lake Wenatchee at the foot of Dirty Face Mountain near Leavenworth, Washington. The property has belonged to the Brown family since 1902, and the land still holds the trees, open meadows, historic buildings, and homestead animals that shaped the family's century on site. Karen Dickinson (Brown), the current custodian, and her daughter Hannah opened the homestead to outside couples in 2012 after roughly 18 months of planning, following generations of family weddings held there. Ceremonies take place at a hillside amphitheater seating up to 150 guests on blue-pine, live-edge benches, framed by meadows and mountain cliffs. Receptions move to an 80'x40' sided tent furnished with handmade dark wood dining tables and antique wooden chairs, strung with cafe lights and fitted with a 20'x20' wooden dance floor and raised stage. A large stone fire pit and a bar area with a two-keg kegerator round out the grounds, and the 100-year-old, five-bedroom log house on the property is available for lodging and bridal party preparation. The venue describes itself as suited to simple country weddings for couples who find more beauty in each other, and a mountain meadow, than they find in pricey city venues, with an easy-going, organized approach meant to keep the day stress-free.

  Mount Rainier rises across the water while a mid-century lodge holds the shoreline of Lake Wilderness. Built in 1950 by the Seattle architectural firm Young & Richardson, Carlston & Detlie, the lodge earned an American Institute of Architects honor and a Washington State Design Award in 1952 for the way it steps into its sloped, lakefront site. The building traces back further still: an early-1900s homestead farm that the Jacobsen family opened to hunters and anglers grew into a trio of resorts through the 1920s, and by 1939 the expanded Gaffney's Grove drew as many as 9,000 visitors a day for baseball, tennis, a skating rink, and swimming beaches. King County designated the lodge a landmark in 1997 for its postwar Northwest architecture, and it took its current name in 2003. Today the lodge hosts up to 220 guests across its main floor, mezzanine, and lower level, with a warming kitchen, two changing rooms, a courtyard balcony, a covered patio, and a lawn included in the rental. A 12-by-12 dance floor, a sound system with Bluetooth and HDMI inputs, and wireless microphones come with the space. Renters bring their own caterer or self-cater, since the kitchen is licensed for warming and cold prep only. Weddings, receptions, banquets, and corporate gatherings all fill the calendar here, on grounds that have drawn crowds to this lakeshore since long before the lodge itself was built.
