Curated with a mixture of modern, industrial, and eclectic design, the space breathes life into its former warehouse roots. THE LOUNGE (3,000 sq. ft.) The entrance to Playa Studios is a handsome 3,000 sq. ft. furnished lounge featuring a striking 18’ tall gallery wall. It opens directly into the Event Room through our oversized wooden doors, allowing you the ability to create two completely different atmospheres within the adjacent spaces. The Lounge also includes a kitchenette, perfect for bar service, and two individual restrooms. THE EVENT ROOM (5,000 sq. ft.) With 18’ exposed ceilings, skylights, stunning chandeliers and sculptural wood accents, the Event Room is a perfect balance between industrial and modern. Built in 1906, The Huron Substation is a stunning historical landmark originally used to serve downtown’s Yellow Car streetcar system. A fire the building survived in the 1980s left a stunning black patina across the historic brick walls. An open staircase leads up to a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine above the main level.
