The Merchant's House Museum is New York City's only family home to survive intact — inside and out — from the 19th century. Built in 1832 in the late-Federal and Greek Revival style, the Manhattan rowhouse carries triple landmark designation at the federal, state, and city levels, including National Historic Landmark status since 1966. It was the first building designated under New York City's 1965 Landmarks Preservation Law and remains one of only six residential interior landmarks in the city. The Tredwell family occupied the residence from 1835 until 1933, and more than 3,000 of their original belongings remain in place. The museum is also recognized as Manhattan's only documented site of the Underground Railroad open to the public. For private events, the venue accommodates up to 30 guests for intimate wedding ceremonies, garden elopements, and engagement photography sessions. The 19th-century rear garden serves as the primary ceremony setting; the Greek Revival double parlor and 1850s kitchen provide indoor alternatives when weather requires.

    311 W 34th St., New York, NY 10001, USA

THREE REMARKABLE EVENT VENUES. ONE AMAZING LOCATION. Built in 1906 by Oscar Hammerstein, and meticulously and majestically restored over the years, The Hammerstein Ballroom is New York’s premier choice for event planners seeking the spectacular. With a 75-foot hand-painted ceiling, all events reach new heights within The Hammerstein Ballroom. Practical as it is beautiful, the ceiling features numerous rigging points for production lighting, sound or set design. At Manhattan Center, we don’t believe one premier event space is enough. So we offer three: The Hammerstein Ballroom, The Grand Ballroom and The Bank. Putting aside the richly restored period architecture, and natural acoustics that renowned performers have called the “best in the world”, the venues’ spacious dimensions allow for guest lists ranging from 400 to 3,500; while featuring extensive dressing rooms, private salons and opera boxes. All this comes with the most convenient location in New York: 34th Street and 8th Avenue. Within its nearly one-city-block configuration, the Manhattan Center offers something more than two premier New York event locations. Directly connected to The Hammerstein Ballroom and The Grand Ballroom is the historic New Yorker hotel. Built during the Jazz Age, this iconic hotel has dazzled visitors with its Art Deco décor, exceptional service and superb location in Midtown West for generations. Owned and operated by the Manhattan Center, The New Yorker, with more than 1,000 rooms restored in period style, is an elegant establishment that is perfect for guests attending corporate events, tradeshows, fashion shows, new-product launches, or whatever function you or your company choose to hold. Whatever it may be, you will be comfortable and confident in the knowledge that The Hammerstein Ballroom and The Grand Ballroom are widely considered the two best venues and event spaces in New York. The New Yorker, a Wyndham hotel, is also ready, and more than able, to host a wide array of meetings, conferences or corporate gatherings. From the most intimate retreat, to a grand gala, The New Yorker team provides a full range of all-inclusive customizable meeting packages to meet your every need — from budget to full-blown The New Yorker delivers excellence on every service level. Featuring The Grand for stunning large-scale receptions, and our Sky Lounge perched 39 stories above the streets of Manhattan for more personal events, The New Yorker hotel stands above the rest. Located a block from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, and just minutes from Times Square, the Jacob Javits Center and the Empire State building, The New Yorker isn’t simply central to New York. 47 Bond St, New York, NY 10012, USA
    • Spaces for 70 Guests

Enjoy a meal with us in New York City, Amagansett, or Ibiza, and browse through our Mediterranean pantry and home collection. When il Buco first opened its doors in 1994 as a rustic antique store on NoHo's cobblestoned Bond Street, the restaurant quickly rose to become one of the city's most beloved destinations. Donna Lennard and her then-partner, Italian-born restaurateur Alberto Avalle, were pioneers on Bond Street when they invited their antique customers to join them for their midday "pranzo" before obtaining a wine and beer license and developing an eclectic Mediterranean menu that was equal parts Italian, Spanish, and invention, and dedicated to sourcing the finest prime ingredients both locally and in Avalle's home country of Italy. The culinary philosophy of il Buco is firmly rooted in the Italian tradition of seasonality and the integrity of all of the ingredients used in the restaurant. Our cuisine is influenced by both the motherland of Italy and the Iberian Peninsula. We spend a significant amount of time sourcing ingredients and take great pleasure in working with our producers to ensure that you receive the highest quality product possible. What we can't find locally, we source in Italy through a network of family and friends that we've built up over the course of a lifetime of traveling.

We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people. Our intimate working wine cellar provides an exceptional eating environment. In your own private wine cellar, seats 10-12 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner. In an elegant 2nd floor dining room, the Blue Room seats 13-20 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner, or up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception. Our largest single private room is the Red Room on the second floor. In an attractive 2nd floor dining room, seats 20-30 guests for a sit-down lunch or supper, or up to 40 guests for a cocktail reception. Guests can book the Red Room, Drawing Room, and Blue Room for large-scale gatherings. For a sit-down lunch or dinner, all three rooms can seat 30-80 people, or up to 100 people for a cocktail reception. Our second-floor private cocktail bar can accommodate groups of up to 25 people. We can seat 140 guests for a seated dinner or up to 200 guests for a cocktail reception with a full buyout. Reach out today to start planning your private dining experience!

Haven's Kitchen was founded by Alison Cayne in 2012 with the goal of instilling pride and pleasure in her students through the preparation of seasonal ingredients from scratch. Alison Cayne has been teaching cooking since 2002. At the time of the company's inception, she set out on a mission to educate people about the impact that the food we buy, eat, and prepare has on the environment, society, and our daily lives. As a three-story carriage house in the heart of Manhattan, our residence strikes a balance between the comforting familiarity of a home and the unadorned openness of a Flatiron loft. Consider the variety of events we've hosted here, ranging from lively product launches to formal dinners and custom-designed weddings, to see why we like to think of our events team as its own in-house marketing department. Our carriage house is designed to bring people together while also providing them with the opportunity to express themselves creatively in a comfortable setting.
