Housed in downtown Greenville's historic Huguenot Mill, the Huguenot Mill Loft at the Peace Center occupies the upper level of a textile mill built in 1882, one of the city's oldest structures. The 8,400-square-foot loft retains its original wood plank flooring, beam ceilings, exposed brick, and vintage architectural hardware, giving the space the feel of a SoHo artist loft while overlooking the Reedy River. Inside, the first floor offers three rooms with their own fireplaces and mantels, along with a striking 1920s-era black-and-white tiled sunroom. A bridal suite with a private restroom and a catering prep kitchen support wedding-day logistics. Outdoors, two covered porches and one open-air porch overlook a ceremony garden with trellises and a fountain. The venue holds up to 80 seated or 150 standing guests indoors, with combined indoor and outdoor capacity of 350. Rentals include complimentary tables and chairs for indoor use, wireless internet and electricity throughout the interior and gardens, and Historic Columbia staff on site for the duration of the event.

We will work with all event planners, vendors, and caterers in the Charleston area to meet your needs. We introduced The Ashley to West Ashley to address a vacuum in the Charleston area for inexpensive venues and event spaces. Rates are reasonable and available upon request; however, rates are not quoted because they are subject to change depending on the date, weekday, hour of the event, and time of year. If The Ashley is a good fit for your organization, we'll try to come up with a rate that works for your occasion. The Ashley is willing to work with you to make your event more reasonable. Charleston event space has gotten pricey, and The Ashley is eager to work with you to make your event happen at a reasonable price. Visit The Ashley event space, which looks fantastic, extremely warm and inviting, a touch rustic but very exquisite. It's no surprise that Dunes West is a recurrent choice among brides, given to its incomparable beauty and experienced event crew, which includes a team of culinary artists who provide some of the greatest cuisine in the area. The Food and Beverage Director will assist in the planning of all functions, including food and beverage arrangements, facility set up, and event timeline, to ensure that all elements are confirmed and agreed upon in advance. Tables, chairs, flatware, china, glasses, and linens will be provided as available and depending on the nature of the event at Dunes West Golf and River Club. The cost of any additional products that the club needs to hire will be added to the final total. The employees of Dunes West Golf and River Club will set up tables, chairs, and linens, but will not be responsible for decorations, props, or flowers. Candles, props, decorations, and other special objects should be brought in the day before or the morning of the celebration. Any objects not belonging to The Club that are left behind should be picked up the morning after the function. The Club is not responsible for any objects that are not removed promptly after an event. The guest is responsible for all floral arrangements, musical arrangements, cakes, and photographs. Vendors who have previously worked with Dunes West Golf and River Club can be recommended by the Food and Beverage Director. The room will usually be ready to decorate by 7 a.m. for a morning event, 9 a.m. for a lunch event, and 3 p.m. for an evening event. Vendor deliveries should be coordinated with the Director of Food & Beverage. The facility is open to both members and non-members of Dunes West Golf and River Club. All events require a $500 deposit or 50% of the room cost, whichever is lower, which will be deducted from the final payment. There are no refunds on any deposits. Before a deposit is received, no date will be reserved.

It originated from the wish to establish a productive space for the mobile workers who live and operate within our densely populated and rapidly expanding community. We are the type of self-employed individuals who are looking for a reasonable office space. The rapidly expanding team of a startup that is not quite ready to move into a corporate office. Housed in a restored 1903 building in Columbia, South Carolina, 701 Whaley began as the company store for the area's textile mills and, by 1909, had become the community center for mill workers — known simply as "The Y," complete with a bowling alley, gymnasium, and dance hall. After decades of decline and a partial roof collapse led the city to condemn the building, a team of local developers purchased and restored the 55,000-square-foot structure, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today the venue offers a range of distinct event spaces within the historic building, from the Grand Hall's floor-to-ceiling windows and Grand Staircase to the Granby Room's street-level glass storefront and original wood columns. The Olympia Room, on the second floor, retains its original hardwood floors and 17-foot ceilings, while The Pool — a 1918 space reopened in 2022 — features a glass floor, soaring windows, and hand-laid mosaic tile skylit from above. An adjacent Market building adds an indoor-outdoor setting with garage doors that open onto a covered, festively lit porch. 701 Whaley also anchors the 701 Center for Contemporary Art and a community of live/work lofts and artist studios, giving events at the venue a backdrop of working galleries and local art. Renters are free to bring in the caterer and bartending service of their choice, and spaces can accommodate gatherings from an intimate 50 guests to a venue-wide event for 1,000.
