We purchased our magnificent 10-acre property in Scurry, Texas, in 2014 with the help of my husband Glen. It was a dream come true for us to be able to retire from the Big City, and we were thrilled with our new country living lifestyle. With years of experience in small business management as well as community service, we are well-suited to this position. We officially opened the doors to our lovely property, which is now known as The Hay Bale Wedding & Events Venue, in the summer of 2016. The Castle in the Country $3,500 Up to 175 people can be accommodated for Saturday events. The Rustic Chandelier is $2,500 and is available Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 100 people. The Stagecoach is offering a $1,000 prize every Sunday through Thursday. It can accommodate up to 60 people. Beautifully appointed Bridal Suite with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the grounds and pool area. A private dressing area, vanity stations, and an en suite bathroom round off this luxurious space. With an en-suite bathroom, a full kitchen, a flat screen TV, and a quiet front porch / back porch view of the property, the Groom Suite is ideal for a wedding party. Caterers, vendors, and BYOB are all available for you to choose from. On the dance floor The Dance Floor is where all of the action takes place! Brushy Creek Event Center sits on 53 acres in Farmersville, Texas, where it shares its land with ThrowAway Ponies, a horse rescue nonprofit. Founded in 2016 by Karen Bander and Jaclyn Bander, the venue hosts weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events in a rustic, country setting. The property's main barn spans 3,400 square feet, with a 30-by-60-foot main area that comfortably seats 110 guests for dinner, dancing, and a DJ setup, and holds up to 150 guests at max occupancy. The adjoining "Saloon" bar area opens onto both the outdoor patio and the indoor main space, with wine glasses available for rent, two mini fridges, and ample counter space. A groom's room and a full kitchen with two refrigerators, a dishwasher, and an oven round out the barn's amenities, with dishware and kitchenware also available for rent.
